Chapter 176: Missed calls
Jeremy wondered whether she could tell that he was afraid to come any closer. Afraid of what he would do if he saw her face, if he saw bruises there. Will he snap and put Conrad in the ground? Or will he simply do nothing and die of shame afterwards, the safe bet was to keep his distance and never find out.
The way she exhaled shallowly and the way she sat with her left hand supporting her frame told Jeremy she must be in a great deal of pain.
"Who are we talking about, Diddy?" he asked her once again.
"The moon goddess, who else would I be talking about?!" She yelled at him, her voice shaky like she was crying.
