Chapter 160: blood of a soaking wet tribid
Defiance kept running until she stopped when it occurred to her that Alex wasn't right behind like he promised.
She heard a branch snap and in a blink of an eye, she could make out a figure coming close to her but not quite. Whoever it was, was fast and Defiance was both terrified and angry as hell that she had left her cousin behind.
"Whoever you are, show yourself or face my wrath?!" She yelled on top of her voice.
Defiance pulled out the dagger on her ankle, she might be without her powers but she was still a warrior just like her father and mother.
"It's me" The voice behind the tree told her as the person behind it was revealed. "Hey, baby…are you okay? I didn't mean to scare you"
Defiance looked around to be sure they were alone before looking at her boyfriend.
"You need to go, now! It's not safe to be seen with me, Conrad"
