Chapter 3 - A Decent Improvement?

--- Chapter 2 ---

"Not bad," Hayate commented.

However, Thunderback Gorilla's core abruptly canceled and caused him to cough blood.

Blergh!!

Crack!!

Hayate glanced at his right arm, which had become jelly-like because all of his bone there shattered. A few internal injuries also affected his body, causing him to wince in pain.

"Young master!" Hong Guan approached swiftly.

She wondered in panic and asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"

"I'm okay, just let me rest and eat..." Hayate silently gritted his teeth.

He used a "pain nullifier." ability and sighed in relief because he couldn't feel any pain now. Not to mention "minor regeneration." also activated simultaneously.

"I'm still not strong enough, huh." He couldn't help but sigh inside.

Thunderback Gorilla is a hybrid-class core with several niche D-grades abilities, varying from Shock Absorption, Charged Attack, and Enhance Physique.

Nevertheless, Hayate received a backlash because his body couldn't handle the strains. The Kaiju's core forced itself to deactivate so that he wouldn't kill himself.

He shook his head and added, "I can't directly use any D-grades ability and above with my current body."

"Well, good to know."

He took a seat and glanced at Hong Guan. "Feed me." He instructed calmly.

Hayate was obviously embarrassed, but with his condition like a broken kite, he required someone else's help.

Hong Guan giggled and began to feed Hayate several dishes, forgetting a certain someone was stuck on the ceiling.

After Hayate's stomach was full, Hong Guan instructed some servants to release Xiao Luo off the ceiling and bring him to the nearest guest room.

Spy Slime will deal with Xiao Luo's memories and make some adjustments in his head later.

"Hmm?" Hayate's eyes became heavy and dozing rather quickly.

Hong Guan, who noticed this smile, brought Hayate to her bedroom. She applied some ointment to make him heal quicker and adjusted his body.

"Have a nice sleep, young master." She kissed Hayate's forehead.

Hayate hasn't realized how many things spy slime has brainwashed in Hong Guan's head, but he would be surprised later on.

Even though Hong Guan's brainwashing was light and minor, it was excessively compelling to make Hayate's figure godly in her view.

As time passed, the sun slowly ascended again in the sky and illuminated the Blue Wind Empire. The silver lake village slowly was greeted by a morning breeze, and Hayate's eyes fluttered.

Hayate yawned and instinctively tried to slap something near him for some reason.

"Ah, yes. I forgot that I got reincarnated." He wryly smiled.

Hong Guan walked in with a warm porridge and sat on the bed with a gentle smile on her face. "How are you, young master?" She asked.

Hayate showed her the healed arm and said, "My body completely recovered."

Hong Guan was amazed by Hayate's recovery speed because one usually would take months or less with medicine to recover from such an injury.

It's an extraordinary feat because Hayate just started his profound way yesterday. Hong Guan was dumbfounded when she found out about this last night.

"Young master, say Aaah..." Hong Guan spooned the porridge for him.

"I can eat by myself. I'm not a child." Hayate indifferently responded.

Hong Guan leaned her head and replied, "But you're a child?"

Hayate's current body is not more than 12 years old. Even though he was skinny and extremely malnourished yesterday, He has returned to the optimal shape of his age after consuming a large amount of food and using Kaiju Creation.

He's around 130 cm now with messy black hair, which hides his shimmering golden eyes. He has a soft yet pure appearance.

"What's wrong with being a child, young master!" Hong Guan complained with a pout. "You're cute anyway."

"Huh?" Hayate stared at her with a speechless expression.

She raised the spoon and moved it like an airplane, which irked Hayate on the inside, but he slowly gave in and opened his mouth.

Hong Guan smiled cheerfully and fed Hayate to full, enjoying the silver lake village's morning scenery from the window.

They stayed in the same position for a moment, and Hayate slowly entered a meditation state. He sensed the profound energy around and absorbed them into his body swiftly.

Hayate felt a warmth on his chest and abdomen, sensing soothing energy washed over his entire body. He smiled and unknowingly enjoyed this sensation for ten minutes precisely.

A familiar sensation like breaking a door happened twice within Hayate's well-being. He smirked and muttered, "Third stage of the [Elementary Profound Realm]."

Hayate's achievement shouldn't be possible typically because his profound entrances haven't matured yet, but Kaiju Creation changed his entire body thoroughly yesterday, making everything optimal for him to cultivate.

At 14 years old, one usually begins their cultivation because their veins matured at that age, but that doesn't apply to Hayate.

Hayate wanted to keep cultivating his strength, but Hong Guan's memory of martial techniques intrigued him. He has trained in mixed martial arts for years, but some of the techniques in Hong Guan's head could destroy a solid boulder that baffled him a little.

"Hey, Guan," Hayate called. "Can you show me your martial art?"

"Yes, young master?" Hong Guan replied instantly.

They walked to the courtyard behind Hong Guan's room. She naturally entered the training ground her father built in the past and performed a fiery gentle fist.

Hong Guan's breath fluttered as she raised her arm naturally. She closed her eyes and clenched her fist but did not harden it.

"Haa!" Hong Guan's gentle fist flew to the rock.

BAM!

Crack!

A small crack actually was created, but there is no more damage besides that. Hong Guan sighed and turned around with a wry smile on her face.

"As you see, young master, my technique is not something I should be proud of." Hong Guan shyly stated.

"No, it's okay," Hayate responded calmly. "You're better than the clown I fought last night."

"At least in terms of refined movement, that's it."

Xiao Luo's cultivation is better than Hong Guan's because of his background, but his technique is messy and easy to read.

Hayate doesn't even use his chimera core's eyes to observe Xiao Luo's slow movement. Well, he directly just lunged forward with a punch.

"Do you have more martial art techniques?" He asked Hong Guan, who shook her head.

"I have only mastered the fiery gentle fist." Hong Guan answered. "However, my late father kept some old martial art techniques in our storage."

"Oh?" Hayate couldn't help but become curious again.

Hong Guan led him to storage behind the house, which actually was a small library with thick iron doors. As she opened the iron doors, a cloud of dust immediately swept over them.

Hayate covered his mouth and glanced at ashamed Hong Guan, who nervously chuckled. "Well, I haven't opened this place for years." She said with an excuse.

"Yeah, sure..." Hayate walked into the place.

A few dusted bookshelves entered his view with weird rocks and rusted weapons on the side. He scanned the entire place with a frown and asked, "Did your father collect all of this?"

"Um, Yes." Hong Guan nodded. "My father is quite a collector of bizarre things."

"I'm sure some of these times are cursed."

"So, your father is a junk collector?" Hayate commented casually, which Hong Guan doesn't want to admit, but her father fits that description.

Hong Guan could only bite her lips in frustration because her father was once a wise person but somehow became crazy-minded years later and began to collect items across this continent.

He even spent a fortune to buy some rocks on the street, which made a fool of himself.

Hayate lightly brushed the dust and checked some books from the shelves, reading them slowly.

"Unfixed Broken Spear Manual."

"A thousand miles in one jump."

"Myriad Way of Cooks."

"How to Be a Gentleman."

Hayate chuckled when reading these books, but they have solid advice and move for some reason.

After reading a series of bizarrely titled books, Hayate noticed a book with a blank cover and tried to read it.

"Hmm..." Hayate frowned. "A medical book? It's quite hard for me to understand it."

"However, it's not impossible."

He rested on the wall and immersed himself in this medical book's content, marveling at every piece of information it contained.

(An: Yes, I bet some ATG's readers guessed what kind of medical book Hayate read)

It took Hayate a whole day to finish this book. He sighed in relief and closed his eyes tiredly. This book's content is so vast and magical at the same time.

Even though it doesn't have any title, Hayate could confirm someone with vast knowledge must have written this book.

He hasn't fully comprehended the entire content, but some of it was easier to understand for Hayate because Kaiju Creation needed physical anatomy to work.

Hayate moved his gaze slightly over and saw Hong Guan silently sleeping beside him. He smiled and cleaned some dust on her beautiful red hair.

"I take my word back, Guan," Hayate whispered.

"Your father isn't Junk Collector, and he possessed eyes for treasure."

"Mhn~." Hong Guan opened her eyes and moaned a little.

She looked around with a sleepy appearance and noticed Hayate's natural smile. "Young master?" She mumbled.

"Woke up yet?" Hayate patted hong Guan gently because Koyori loves it when he does this to her. "Let's have dinner."

"Eh, it's night already?!" Hong Guan panicked because Xiao Luo might be a concern for them.

Hayate contacted his spy slime and commented, "He's returned to Xiao Sect this noon."

"He also won't cause any problems for us, or might be the opposite." He added with a smirk.

"You don't have to worry much about him."

Hong Guan tilted her head in confusion, but Hayate only laughed it off and walked to the dining room.

They have a warm meal that night, and the day continues slowly.

Hayate had decided on this place as his base, and Hong Guan will be his first subordinate or secretary in short.

He silently cultivated his profound way and regained his peak strength back slowly. He also learned martial arts techniques and books in Hong Guan's family storage.

Every day Hong Guan would fight him in the training ground, sharpening their battle instinct and cultivation.

After two years, Hayate developed Silver Lake Village into a trading marketplace between cities. He controlled some merchants and spread some rumors, making this place famous.

"A miraculous doctor lives here."

With such a simple line, a few people already tucked the bait and moved to the small village.

The small village wasn't an appropriate word because Silver Lake Village has become a decently sized city with clean paved roads and many businesses alongside it now.

Of course, such a place needed a backup, Xiao Sect, because one of their elder's grandsons fell into Hayate's control. He also has some attached strings within that sect, and everything is easier for him in this empire.

As Xiao Sect helped Hayate from the shadow, there is no problem so far in Silver lake city.

Hayate also expanded his control to nearby cities and villages, but not at an excessive level because there is a limit to how many people he could control with Kaiju's ability.

He couldn't control a cultivator, who possessed [Sky Profound Realm], because they were too strong for him. He barely could brainwash someone with the [Earth Profound Realm] cultivation at the moment.

However, slowly but surely, Hayate would reach that level.

--- Hayate's room ---

Hayate solemnly read the titleless book and has been trying to understand this book's content for two years. But then, every time he comprehends something new, another thing opens up for him.

"Just who wrote this book." He sighed and massaged his temple.

Hong Guan suddenly opened his room door and complained, "Young master, get yourself some fresh air!"

"You have been in your room for a month!!"

"Tch, I don't see anything wrong with that?" Hayate responded and tried to read the book back.

Hong Guan placed her hand on Hayate's shoulder and smiled mischievously. "Needleless Fire Acupuncture."

BAM!

"Oh no, you don't." Hayate slapped her hand and disappeared from his room.

Hong Guan also disappeared and followed him to the training ground, where Hayate stood with his book.

After two years, Hayate's body has grown tremendously, with lean yet compact muscle under his clothes.

He's around 169 cm, handsome face, beautiful yet somehow unkempt black hair, and majestic golden eyes.

If Hong Guan hadn't seen his naked boy, she would only think what changed is only his height.

'He's slowly become a fine man.' Hong Guan licked her lips a little.

Hayate sighed and said, "Fine, I'll take a walk outside the city."

"Hehe..." Hong Guan chuckled. "Good."

"I've heard there is a beautiful girl in a floating cloud city."

"Why don't you have a leisure visit there?"
