The next 20 years proved how little Lind had grasped of his discovery. His new creation generated not only power but actually increased the area around the temple lands! He did not understand why as resources were not infinite.
He also had his goal but he began to appreciate George more when he explained the theoretical construction of the fictional starships.
A power source was but one piece of a massive puzzle.
How was the power distributed?
How was the fuel put into the power source?
How was it regulated to keep it stable?
How was it to be repaired if it failed?
How was the ship to be kept safe if the main power failed?
The questions spurred more questions and needs just for the power systems alone! Living quarters, food storage, and so much else that artifacts did not hold all the answers for.
