Synopsis

Chapter 1 - Prologue— Sect of the Crying Moon.

Once upon a time, there was a sect that stood unrivaled in its righteousness and power; a sect that valued talent more than the ties of blood.

An ocurrence uncommon in the Jianghu that would shake it down to its core before the so called reighterous sects took offence of new blood joining the cultivators on the top, jelous of sons of farmers and servants being elevated into something better, something that could rival with their own prowess.

The Crying Moon Sect Leader was a kind man, his hear was soft and pure.

It shouldn't have been a surprise it shattered after the world denounced his childhood friend to be a demon. It shouldn't have been so shocking when the man refused to take a side as his sect broke into the ones who wanted to defend their Senior Brother and Teacher and the ones that though one life couldn't be worth the ones of their juniors and elders.

It was.

None of the Nine Heavenly Sowrds could imagine just how much their Sect Leader depended on their prickly martial brother. They ran thin before they could take the weight from their Leade's shoulders, suddenly throw sideways from the lucky path they had walked so far.

Their sect fractured irreparably the moment the ejecution was announced.

Three of the Heavenly Sowrds raised their weapons against the High Sects, a third of the Crying Moon Sect railing behind them. All crying about injustice, fighting to save one of their own even if many of them had never interacted with the Inmortal himself.

Wishpers of war came to life. Rivers of blood taited the Earth, uncountable lives were lost before the Crying Moon Sect was forced to intervine. To fight agaist their own. To repudiate the ones that fought to free Xu Yingjie and declare them traitors.

Pure and utter madness envolved the world as brothers were forced to figth each other and students and teachers fought in different sides of the battlefield.

The worst sight, though, was the one the Purple Demon and his two apprentices. The inmortal had raised both of them, they were his first two students, all grown now but still incredible young in his eyes.

People say that it broke his heart to fight them. They say that he did anyways because he was too deep in the lies and tricks his own master had feed him, that he broke the spell just before he died and his last words were an apology.

They say the heavens cried when he died; the thunder echoeing the roar of pain in the heart of the student who hugged his fallen teacher agaisnt his chest. They say the storm never faltered until the dammed Inmortal was executed and his head rolled.

They would be lying.

Purple Demon was betrayed by the wolfs in sheep clothing he welcomed in his home, in his family. The traitorous twins being the ones behind the ruse that would cost Purple Demon's teacher his life, all because they were jealous of a man they knew would never be able to compare, of his happines, of a heart that was gifted freely.

Petty, jealous, children.

Their stupidity cost the Crying Moon Sect everything, and yet, their name was held high as if they were the heroes of this story.

But curses have a way to always become true, no matter how much one tries to avoid them, and when the curse itself was born of love... Not even death itself would be able to keep them safe from Purple Demon's revenge.
