"We've been married for four years now and there is not heir!" The king complained, letting himself fall on the chair, while he pinched the tip of his nose.
"I'm sorry! I don't know why this is happening!" The Queen kneeled in front of him, her eyes full of tears.
The king sighed heavily and took her hands in his, looking into her eyes.
"I know you're trying. And I love how you are trying." He smirked at her and saw her blush and look away. "But the Council is being very adamant about me needing an heir. I would wait as many years as possible. But they keep pestering me and since I have no siblings, it is my duty to have a child."
"I know." She sniffed. "But what can I do, my love?" She asked, sad.
He got up and raised her from the floor, leading her to the bed.
"We can keep trying." He smiled and kissed her.
Later, the Queen was brushing her hair, when her maid saw the tears in her eyes.
