Swallow followed Delina's gaze and cursed himself for not being more careful. Yes, his mother was still around the castle. She wasn't there all the time, but she came in every now and then. And he didn't want to reveal their relationship, just yet.
"Oh, I ate and didn't take the plate away. Then I ate again…"
Delina knew he was lying, but she could see that Suindara looked annoyed at being asked about that. Therefore, she thought it best not to force him to speak. He wasn't one to talk too much, he didn't show his feelings much. If he was seeing a woman—or a man—it was best not to put pressure on him to open up to her.
"I understand." Delina said. "I came here just because I was worried."
