"So… are you really going to accept the engagement?" Bernard asked, grinning from ear to ear. Kraig glanced at Amanda, who was beaming.
'So fake…she could be an actress!" Kraig thought disapprovingly. He thought Keira was a fake one… but Amanda was proving to have a greater potential!
He and Amanda had talked again and decided that yes, it would be a good idea for the two of them to pretend. Now that the strange man had arrived and knew about Delina and the tree and much more, Kraig was more than right about not wanting to marry anyone. So, it was better to keep the agreement with Amanda.
"Of course, Alpha Bernard!" Amanda answered and linked her arm through Kraig's. "We're both getting along really well. But it's obvious I can't get married right now. I am underage."
"Yes, yes. Obviously there would be no union between you. Not right now. But just the promise of marriage is… ecstatic!"
