"Yeah uh ok but you can only hide in this room or the closet."
"Ok."
*Ten seconds later*
I started looking for Yuqi, after fifteen minutes I still couldn't find her. Just where was this kid hiding? Suddenly I heard Yuqi screaming.
The screams were coming from my closet.
"YUQI?!" I yelled while dashing towards the closet in my room.
The closet was full of clothes and it was two stories high. The walls were covered with dark brown wood, the floor was covered in white marble. The stairs were made of white marble and the railing was made of dark brown wood. A black crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling.
How was I supposed to find her?!
I saw a trail of blood on the stairs, I ran up the stairs and saw Yuqi.
She looked terrified, I looked up and I saw me-
Well, a dead version of me hanging from the ceiling...the dead body was dressed in the same clothes. Blood dripped from his face. His skin was a mix of light grey and blue.
Yuqi was shaking, I hugged her and kept telling her that it was going to be fine. I picked Yuqi up and took her out of the closet. "K-K-K-Kura, what was t-t-t-that?" she stuttered while crying, "Yuqi, calm down. Are you hurt?" she shook her head, "I-I-I was just finding a place to hide and then I saw that," she said. Yuqi was traumatised.
I don't blame the kid, I mean she just saw a dead version of her brother, well half brother just hanging from the ceiling.
"Let's go outside, it isn't safe in here," I said, 'Satan?' he didn't respond, 'SATAN?!' 'I'm busy, I'll answer your questions later.'
Damn.
I lifted Yuqi and I opened the door, I saw a bunch of maids hustling around the long hallway.
The hallway was huge, it had French blue walls and gold vases.
"Kura.....do you know where mom is?" "No," I said while holding her as tight as I could. "Kuragari, I hope you didn't fight with Yuqi again," a middle-aged woman said while coming up to me.
The woman had fair skin, long black hair and the same pair of violet eyes that I had. She was wearing a long white gown, and white gloves and her hair were neatly pinned up with a diamond clip.
"Mom?" Yuqi said while wiggling out of my arms and running to her. She hugged her and the women picked her up. I felt a little jealous.
"Kuragari what happened," the woman said, I didn't want this lady to know the truth. "Yuqi fell," I lied, "No I didn't, mom I saw a monster," she said while bursting into tears, "She has quite the imagination," I said while looking staring at Yuqi.
"Kuragari, I expected you to be ready by now. As you already know this day is so important for your father please don't make any silly remarks," she said. I looked at her confused, "My dear child, it's your father's business party. There will be a lot of important people so I'd recommend getting ready right now. Meet me in the ballroom in thirty minutes sharp," she said sternly while handing me a black tuxedo.
I nodded and took the tuxedo. I decided that I shouldn't change in my room as something could go wrong.
I'm pretty sure this house had to have a changing room so I asked one of the maids who was passing by.
I got ready. I was wearing a black shirt underneath the tuxedo, I didn't bother wearing a tie so I left the first three buttons of the shirt open. I combed my bangs, attached a silver earring to my left ear and wore a silver chain bracelet on one hand and a silver watch on the other. As for my shoes, I just wanted to be comfortable so I wore sneakers and hoped that no one would care.
I think twenty minutes had passed so I decided to look for a ballroom.
This house is huge I got lost in five minutes and I was stranded in a corridor.
The corridor had white walls, there were paintings of angels and devils on the wall. The floor was like a chessboard it had black and white marble.
While I was wandering around I stepped on something.....well a chess piece. A king but there was blood on it.
I heard a familiar voice behind me, "Got the message?" "Satan?" I said while turning around, "Yeah that's me in disguise," he said while winking at me, "What message?" Satan looked down at the chess piece which was in my hands, he looked back up and he said that this was the only hint I could get (for now at least).
A hint? "Wait!" I yelled while he was getting ready to leave, "What do you mean hint? We aren't playing a game," I said while gripping the chess piece, Satan looked at me and laughed, "Kuragari, we were always playing a game," saying this he vanished.
Well heck, just great.
A king with blood on it what could it mean....
Maybe someone killed a piece or maybe that's the king's blood.
Then it hit me, "Kill the king," I said while glaring at a painting of Satan.
Kill the king
