Episode 2 - A Mysterious Guy
After having an emergency-like call, I went immediately to his place after seeing the location he gave me. To know what happened, I had a bad feeling about it. "It's either I will get a job from him today or there is something he want to discuss with me" My brain thinking multiple though.
After a long way to the location, I finally arrived to the exact place where he was at. All I have to do is just get off from the car and meet him.
When I was walking inside the place, the place was actually a private eating place. In that place, there is always a room for anyone who went there. A couple or friend or anyone can have in after a meal. But most of them is just a couple who choose to be there and then had an adulthood time in the bedroom. It's all just a gossip I heard from the waitress around. Two of his bodyguard are standing at both side. One of them are holding a paper of photo. Galliard then told me to sit down and then the conversation started.
"So what and why are you asking me to come here? Why so privately?" I asked him.
"There is sonething shocking you must see." Said Galliard.
Hearing that make me worried a bit and was ready to face it. But turned out it was something too much for me.
"So what was it?"
"Here the pictures. Look closely. That was your sister, right?"
"Wait... Yeah that was my sister.."
"See who was sneaking behind the building?"
"Wait a minute.. Who's over there?"
"Someone trying to capture your sister. You must do something."
"Wait! When did this happened?"
"Her personal bodyguard saw it from the building. She suspected that guy was trying to do something to her but sneaking at her first."
"So what? Let's find that guy!"
"I don't think that was human."
"What? Why?"
"Look closely.."
"I see... The eyes are red. His body are just black.. But what was so different between that person with human? He might be wearing a mask.."
"Her personal bodyguard said it herself. She saw him and feel yhe presence different than when an enemy come."
"If that wasn't human, then what it is?"
"Calm down. We have to keep your sister safe. Maybe you should tell your sister to wait at school rather than just let her walk to her hone on her own feet."
"That was a great Idea but I had a work to do at the same time.."
"You have me. Why not asking my help?"
"I don't want to keep you busy. That's all. I can't make my own bestfriend suffer busy life."
"I'm already used to it. Just ask me whenever you want."
"Okay."
So then we started to have our own meal. We stop chatting about it and have fun for a bit. He told me to leave all the worries to him and let him take care of it. I have no word to reply him and just nod as a sign of accepting it.
After the meal, we disperse. Galliard went to his company while I went to the convenience store, a place where I worked. There I worked as a part-timer. But I didn't work there alone. There was another worker that work there full time until on closing time. She's the one who introduce me to the boss. She also the one who lead me on the work, until I was used to it and was an expert because of her. Anise was her name. She was one year older than which make me respect her. But she was actually really kind to me, even when I made a mistake, she just cheers me to not doing it again and just smiled on me.
At the working time, I was guarding the counter. Looking at my phone in peace while there was jo customer to serve for. Anise was doing her work on putting and filling the items that was nearly sold so that a customer can buy more. That what she tells me.
In that moment, she accidentally passed one of the can at the edge of the board. The can fell from not a very high place but could cause some minor injury on your head. The can fell on Anise's head and she shouted "Ow!" as a sign that she got hurt. Hearing that without hesitating, I hurried up myself and approached her with my worries feeling. "Are you okay?" I asked her fastly. "No.. Don't worry.. It didn't hurt much." Anise answered.
"You know what? You might be my senior but I have to remind you to be careful next time.."
"It's okay. I will. I just mistakenly put it on the edge. I wasn't focused that I looked down on the box just to see how much are left and I accidentally just let the can on the edge and fell on my head."
I accepted her explaination. Suddenly, my heart was rising the rate. I felt like I was inove with her. Actually I am since the beginning of working here. I've been holding my feeling for her for more than a month. I always wanted to confess my feeling to her but I hate if the things turned opposite way of my thinking. What if she rejected me, that's my daily thinking while I was planning to confess my feeling to her. It's not hard to do but it's hard if you don't have enough confidence just like me. So I put my feeling of her deep inside at first. I just wanted to be on her side, that's all. But things might be different once I plan something like confessing to her. I decided. To confess it to her tomorrow.
Turned out there was no tomorrow in the next day. Why? Because the beginning is starting...
