“And Riley wants us to travel across the country with bounties on our heads and take Amedis by surprise in the probably heavily fortified Silverstone,” I said calmly.
“What do you think, Silver? It was your territory that Amedis took over,” Riley said.
Alex looked torn and felt it too. I could sense from our mate bond that he wanted to go along with my idea, but at the same time, he wanted to follow his instincts and take back his pack’s territory.
“Both plans could go wrong with one misstep,” he said. “On the one hand, we could lure Amedis away from his stronghold where he’d leave the majority of his forces to protect it, and on the other hand sneaking in the Silverstone and taking him by surprise seems easier, seeing as I know the place inside out, including all the secret passages.
