I made killing Amedis my main focus because, deep down, I believed that if I did that, then it would somehow bring Alex back
“And now he’s alive, and all the emotions I tried to bury deep down have all come rushing up…”
“And now you’re dealing with everything all at once,” Riley finished for me as he held me. “It’s okay to let go a little bit, Loren. I know that we’re beings of magic, and you’re practically descended from an inter-dimensional species. Still, our emotions are very much human no matter our much we try to pretend that we’re beyond that.”
