The world to me felt like it had no more gravity. My world has been slowly turning upside down for the past few months.
First there was the revelation that I was not your typical college graduate but actually a mage. Then, there was the prophecy that I was potentially destined to end the life of an Ancient Alpha werewolf.
I know my best friend had confessed that he was in love with me and told me that my relationship with Alex was doomed to fail because of his pack.
Everytime I gain a better grasp of my life with one hand, something comes along to loosen the grip of the other.
I had not told Alex yet about the conversation with Riley. The civility between them was already frail and I felt that this would open the floodgates once again.
“Earth to Loren!” Jamaiah whisper yelled, causing me to jump in my seat. “I’ve been calling your name for the past minute. Where’s your head at?”
