Amedis POV
Annoyance crept over my brow as I carved a circle into the wooden table with my claw. The werewolf who had brought me the bad news shrunk in fear at my displeasure.
“And my daughter is nowhere to be found, not even a scent?” I asked him as calmly as I could.
“No, my lord.” He answered nervously. “The God killer has covered whatever trail that there was.”
I sighed. If my daughter was dead, then that was one thing, but if she had been captured, then it made her vulnerable. I did not trust that she would keep her mouth shut if threatened with torture or death.
My children always seemed to disappoint me.
“Put a bounty on Loren Ambrose’s head, large enough that even her former allies would be tempted to turn against her,” I ordered.
That would make sure that no one would even want to grant her sanctuary lest someone came looking to collect the bounty.
The werewolf nodded and left the room.
My head Alchemist, Argent, entered next.
