The cold water dripped down Ashley's body as she stepped out of the bathroom, the towel tied around her chest. The bright smile on her lips was priceless, even Maria took notice of it.

She got to her wardrobe and picked a short black skirt, a lacy top that left some of her cleavage visible. No doubt it was sexy, but also too revealing.

"Where are you all going to dress like this? Maria asked with her arms folded around her chest.

"Well I'm glad you want to know, I'm going to see my boyfriend" Ashley replied with a smile and swirled around to show off her clothes.

"Those clothes seem like you screaming, I want to be raped by thugs" Maria stated. "Go change the top and get something nice and not too revealing"

Ashely grumbled, but she was right afterall, she didn't like wearing such clothes, but her boyfriend liked it. She changed up into a yellow gown and picked a yellow purse to match.

"I'm off," she announced.

She left her house, and that afternoon she headed to Jackson's house. She wanted to spend the whole day with him, the taxi she boarded stopped in front of his apartment, she paid him and proceeded to his apartment.

Slowly she climbed up the stairs, the sound of the romping and moan became clear and Ashley quickened her steps. She flung the door open and the scene in front of her shocked her.

She staggered backwards and rested her back on the wall.

She arrived at home, with tears in her eyes she rushed the stairs, she almost fell while climbing the stairs.

She fell on her bed, crying her eyes out, when her phone rang it was Maria.

This is not the first time that she has called to tell her that she has left for work.

She quickly wiped off her tears and cleared her throat before picking up the call.

"Hello Maria," she said.

"Hi pretty what's wrong with you, your voice doesn't sound like you, you sound as if something is wrong" Maria said.

"I'm fine, am fine Maria" she said, sobbing.

"You're not fine, I will be right okay, don't do anything so stupid" Maria said.

Ashley nods her head slowly.

Maria hung up the call, she went to her boss's office.

"Please Mr Charles something came up my friend is not feeling well please let me go" Maria said.

" Alright, you can go ahead, and take care," he said with a smile.

"Thank you sir" she said and left the company without wasting any time.

Thirty minutes later, she arrived at Ashley's house.

She entered the living room, she couldn't find her, Ashley called but no response from her.

She rushed the stairs, she opened the door without knocking, she saw her friend in tears.

"Ashley what's wrong, what really happened please tell me baby" Maria said, she raised her chain she began wiping her tears which couldn't stop rolling down her cheeks.

"Please talk to me,'' Maria said.

"It's Jack, he was cheating on me with my ...." She paused.

" With who,' Maria said.

"My sister Bella' Ashley said crying, "it's okay babe everything will be fine one day" Maria said, she narrated the whole event to Maria, even how he asked her out of his house.

"Why are they always hurting me? First it was her mother, now it's her.

They keep taking what belongs to me, why" Ashley said, sobbing on her shoulder.

"It's okay baby, everything will be fine, he doesn't deserve you, someone else is out there and I know that person wants you okay just forget about him, everything let it go, act as if nothing happened", Maria said, patting her back slowly.

And remember everything happens for a reason and please stop crying Maria muttered.

" You eaten anything yet, it's four in the evening," Maria said.

" I'm not hungry right now" Ashley said, Maria gave her a tissue paper to wipe her nose, she wiped her nose.

"Alright honey, get some rest don't think about him anymore okay" Maria said.

" Ok..ay" Ashley said, Maria made her lay on the bed, she kissed her forehead and smiled at her, before leaving the room.

"Mom, trust me, I made her cry. She's just a b!tch she doesn't know where she belongs, I will show her where she belongs," Bella said to her Mom Samantha. They laughed loudly.

"Alright sweetheart Mom loves you so much" Samantha said.

"Watch me ruin you, dear sister, I still want to see you cry again because I enjoyed every bit of it," Bella said to no one in particular. One could say that her hobby was in giving Ashley no peace.

* Few hours later*

"How are you feeling now?"Maria asked, concerned about her.

"Am good I guess" Ashley said and force out a little smile

" I'm glad you are okay, food is ready" Maria said with a smile.

"I'm not hungry right now, I just want to be alone for a while," Ashley said.

"Am not leaving you alone until you recover fully, anyways I will go get the food" Maria said.

" I'm not hungry, okay" Ashley said.

"Please eat something please" Maria said with both hands together.

" Fine I will eat but not in the dinner room I will eat mine in my room" Ashley said.

"Okay I will go get it" Maria replied with a smile, she went to the kitchen, she put the food on the flat plate and then placed it on the tray, she opened the fridge and brought out some juice, and a glass cup she kept it on the tray too.

She carried slowly, since the door was opened, she entered the room and kept the tray of food on the table.

Ashley didn't notice when she entered the room, it was the sound of her phone that made her realize that someone was in her room.

"You're already here" she asked, surprised.

"Yeah! Miss Maria replied with a smile.

"You got all this food for me, like seriously" Ashley asked as Maria opened the plates.

"No you got it wrong it's for you and I please eat" Maria said.

"Okay" Ashley said and collected the spoon and fork from the tray.

She was staring at the teddy bear which Jack got for her as a valentine gift.

She was also crying.

"Seriously, Ashley, stop doing this to yourself, that guy is just a fool," Maria said.

She didn't get what Maria said. All her attention was on the teddy bear.

Ashley Maria called but got no response, with that annoyance she tapped on her arms, she quickly turned, and looked at Maria.

"I'm sorry, I was just ... "eat your food" Maria said, cutting her off, knowing the kind of person Ashley is, she knows that it will be difficult.

She decided to feed her, ahhhh she demonstrated with her mouth opened, Ashley chuckled softly staring at her friend who keeps acting like her mom.

She opened her mouth, Maria began to feed her, soon they were done eating.

The room was silent, don't tell me you value a six months relationship more than our four years friendship Maria said, breaking the silence.

No Maria, I value our friendship, I'm really sorry Ashley said.

Your Mom called Maria, glaring at her.

Really when, what did you tell her, hope you didn't tell her about this stuff that happened Ashley said.
