Chapter 73 - Chapter 73

I walked around the campus until I came to the administration building. I entered into the office and could see a few of the staff working. Slowly I made my way to the student's computers that sat in the corner of the room and chose one away from the others. I logged in and looked around at the information available and sighed. Using a student's identification I could not gain access to the information I needed. With a frown I logged out then gave a quick look around and logged back in using the log in details for one of the professors I had last year. He was an older man who would often wright his log in details down so he wouldn't forget.

The screen flashed and I smiled. Being older he also forgot to change his password every once in a while. I swiftly made my way through the business study students and frowned. There was no sign of Lisa Brice on the screen. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and took a pic then sent it to Mathew. I surfed through old records and took another pic then logged out and left the office.

My phone began to ring. I went around a corner and answered as I began to make my way towards my class.

"Hi Mathew. Did you see the pic I sent?" He grumbled.

"Yeah I did. I don't see Lisa on it." I nodded and looked around.

"Don't ask me how I got that info but she's not registered as a current student." I sent him the second pic. "But this shows she was a student at one time, although it was nearly five years ago, and on exchange for a year from an east coast Uni." He mumbled in the background then sighed.

"I think it's time I call in the big brains…" He sucked his lip. "I'll talk to my grandmother tonight. By the way… You do know Derick doesn't hate you right? I mean if he did, he wouldn't be worrying for your safety." I frowned and reached my class door.

"Well there's definitely something he doesn't like about me." Mathew chuckled.

"That scent blocker. It confuses a lot of wolves around here." I sighed.

"Right, I've heard about that. I'm at my class. You need to tell me more about why scent is so important. The last person I asked said it's like talking to a ghost. there but not there." He chuckled.

"Will do. Are you coming back tonight or tomorrow?" I sighed.

"Tomorrow… I think…" I rubbed my face. "I'll let you know I just have a gut feeling that's beginning to eat away at me. A lead I have been meaning to look into since we were all at Rodgers office…" I heard him growl.

"Ok, but be careful." I nodded again.

"I will. See you soon."

"Yeah, soon." He emphasized the word and we hung up. I entered my class and took a seat at the back like I always did. I hated having people behind me in a class situation.

I sat on the sofa at Rodgers and watched more vids. I was beginning to get a better feel for the Bulldog and what type of man he was. He was powerful, fast, experienced, and liked a challenge. If an opponent was too weak, he would forfeit a match and leave. When the Bulldog fought an average opponent, he would be brutal and toss them around the ring. This resulted in broken bones and some injury's but he tended to get them out the way fast. When he was placed in his element the fighting was savage, brutal and bloody.

Titles were not what drove him but the shear love of a fight and proving himself in battle. Taking titles away from champions and breaking winning streaks was what he did and only because the fights were spectacular.

I felt my stomach growl and I sighed. In the last three years I had not lost a fight. My first-year fighting was completely different. My fights had been a hit or miss, mostly misses, as I had my backside handed to me three out of every four matches and became one of the steepest learning curves I had ever ridden. By the time I entered my second year in the ring I was winning against all the newcomers and was beginning to climb the ranks. I still lost a few matches, but I had gradually figured out my style and trained harder with the strong retired fighters Rodger kept in the gym as trainers.

The Bulldog would be going crazy about the opportunity to fight me. My three-year winning streak would be so appealing to a fighter like him. I looked to my phone and began to look through a food app and sighed.

Rodger came over and placed a can of fizzy in my hand as he sat next to me and placed his arm around my shoulder then slumped onto me and smirked pushing my phone away.

"I've already ordered." I gave him a glance.

"I want something specific tonight." He grinned.

"Curry," I frowned as he chuckled. "Chicken pakora, poppadom's with that green sauce, Tandoor Chicken with cashew rice, BBQ king prawn with that pickled veg, garlic nan bread and then chase it down with a B & J chocolate fudge brownie ice cream." I put my phone away and crossed my arms.

"How'd you know that?" He touched the mark on his neck.

"You always order the same stuff from your favored places. And I can get a sense on your cravings through this." He smirked. "I can also tell your hungry and had a craving for curry. So, I just put in your normal order and doubled it." He smirked again. "Oh, impressed…" I placed my right hand over his lips.

"What the fuck? You never said anything about this before I marked you." He smirked and kissed at my hand until I pulled it away.

"Annoyed now… I didn't truthfully know how much your mark would affect me. I knew we'd be able to mind link each over and I would get somewhat of a feel of what you wanted but this…" I recovered his lips again and he fell silent.

"Did you say we can mind link?" He nodded and kissed and nuzzled his face into my hand again causing me to pull it way.

'Why pull away? I know your beginning to feel horny.' I looked around to where I thought his voice was coming from and he chuckled as he placed his lips to my neck and kissed. 'A little disorientating at first buy you'll get used to it.' I nodded.

"How do I talk back?" He stopped his decent towards my chest and sighed.

'Think about talking to me.' I nodded. 'Like I'm right in front of you.' I nodded again as he shifted his position and pressed against me pushing me down onto the sofa. 'Then think about what you want to tell me.' I nodded and focused as Rodger placed his lips to my chest that was not covered by my tank top. 'and… think it.' I frowned.

'LIKE THIS!' He jumped and winced as he pulled away with a loud whine.

"Fuck!" He squeaked in startled shock as he fell from the sofa. He lay on the floor and blinked up at the ceiling a few times as blood ran from his nose.

"Are you all right?" He nodded and touched his head as he sat up with a groan.

"Yeah," He laughed and looked up. "Just try not to shout. You nearly gave me a heart attack…" I grabbed the box of tissues and offered him one. He wiped the blood from his face and smirked. "Or a stroke... That was unbelievably loud." I shifted my eyes away from him and sucked at my lip.

"Sorry, first time." He laughed then looked over as the buzzer at the door went.

"That should be the food." He got to his feet then fell to his knees. "When did the world start spinning?" I frowned and helped him back onto the sofa. He waved a hand. "Press the blue button on the intercom by the door to let the delivery person in." I nodded and quickly made my way over to the door.

I followed Rodgers instructions and soon the food was here. I took the money off the counter and handed it over. Rodger waved a hand.

"Keep the change!" He called and the woman nodded then retreated back to the elevator. I went to the kitchen and rummaged around for plates then placed everything onto the dining table.

Rodger came over his face still pail and he grinned as I scooped food from the containers onto the plates.

"How are you feeling?" He sat at a seat and smiled.

"I'm good," He held up the tissue. "The nosebleed has stopped and I'm no longer seeing stars." I bit my lip a little embarrassed.

"Sorry about that." He waved my apology away.

"No big deal. Why not try again." I hesitated and gave him a look. He smirked. "You won't get better if you don't practice. Just try not to overthink this time." I nodded and placed a plate of food in front of him. Then began to focus. "Relax and let it flow." I nodded.

'How's this? too loud?' He smiled.

'Perfect. Sit and we can eat.' I sat and he looked to the table. 'pass a poppadom please.'

'Want the sauce as well?' He nodded. As we ate we continued to mind link and soon it became fluid and natural for me.

The evening wore on and we retreated to the sofa to watch more fights. I sat holding my B&J ice cream as Rodger held me on his lap and occasionally, I offered him a spoonful.
