Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Metamorphosis

[Diary Chapter]

"It's so dark..."

"Where am I?"

I was floating in the darkness, wandering like a dead star. I could neither feel anything nor see anything. There was only darkness, comforting me at its utter mystery. It was peaceful at first until I found out how tormenting the silence was.

'Am I...dead?'

I even wondered in confusion for I felt like I exist yet doesn't exist at the same time. My consciousness remained, but why couldn't I felt my body or anything? My limbs didn't respond! Is this really how dead people felt when they die? Am I just a ghost now? I felt like I had just become a tiny speck, wandering in the vast universe. As time passes, those thoughts faded away. Changes about me also began to occurred like how a baby develop in their mother's womb does. I felt like I was being reformed. I could felt it...the sensations of moving my seemingly underdevelop hands, legs, and even my body.

Am I being reborn? Never thought it was real. Because if I happened to, I wish to become my ex-lover's child. Why? Because I'm not going back to her with the same bond we had had, and that is something even the fate itself could not be interfered.

Yuna, Yuna, I really regret accepting your confession back at that time. But still, I'm really glad I died saving you all. I wish in my next life I don't get involved with you all, hypocrites! And I promise, if I ever given a chance to live again, I would never ever be a simp again!

Time flowed as usual, although, I don't really know if how long have I been here. My arms, legs, and body had finally fully developed. The first time I opened my eyes, I saw my hands for the very first time. I was completely made of with bluish-white flare-like light, or rather, I looked like the incarnation of bluish-white flames, taking a humanoid form.

Tic-toc, tic-toc, assuming an imaginary sounds of the clock, my naked figure had finally developed. My skin was emitting bluish-white glow and I'm all of it. Like when I was alive, I could literally move as I am before; punching, kicking...etc. The only thing I couldn't do was to run and walked. Well obviously, I am floating in the darkness like a lovely star.

A holographic spherical matter, floating before me, appeared out of the nowhere, after my sense of sight was temporarily blocked by the sudden flash of light.

The holographic spherical matter was emitting bluish-white flames like the flames of a bluish-white star and being revolving by several majestic haloes. It wasn't that big; in fact, I was bigger. The length of my brace and body was enough to embrace it to somehow covered it.

I, as if being hypnotized, attempted to touched the holographic spherical matter. The moment my hand touched the holographic spherical matter, it entered to my ghost-like body and a white light blocked my eyesight once again.

I snapped when my surroundings changed. "Where am I?"

I found myself in a place that could be describe as ruins. The ancient-like city were utterly devastated. The sky were as red as blood, and the atmosphere here were all foggy, trying to cover the shameful fall of the place.

The only remained stood here were this red gate at least fourteen meters away from me and the giant white glowing tree that could be seen here from afar.

"Y~aly~here~"

I snapped, hearing a voice of woman resonating in the air. "Who's there?"

I asked, wandering my gaze around; seeking for the root of that ghost-like voice.

*STEP *STEP—

I turned around to the gate as I heard the sound of the footsteps from the red gate.

"Fear me not, chosen one..."

A woman's voice coming from the read gate, gave off a terrifying pressure. Soon, the fogs covering around became red like a fog of blood.

I took a few step backwards, wary as I saw the silhouette of a woman in the red fog, coming out from the gate. I was feeling anxious for every step she made, gave a crumbling feeling throughout my body. Just with her silhouette was enough to make me feel small.

The moment the fog politely leaving her way; slowly revealing her figure, I saw a ghastly woman with a very long majestic glowing red hair that reaches the ground. She had a perfect and voluptuous figure, covering with her tattered signature dark-red dress with sharp black frills at her waist and chest, and a white section along her torso. She also wears dark-red gloves that go up to her upper arms, and black tattered stockings, alongside red high heels. Despite her messy ghastly looks, she was still extremely beautiful that even the meaning of aesthetic would bow to her. Those extremely beautiful pair of glowing golden eyes of hers, make me felt like I was looking at her at upon her palm.

"Who are you?" I asked with the thought I was to die again, narrowing my eyes on the woman's sharp fangs.

The woman looked at me as if she was analysing my entire existence.

"I see." She mumbled.

'What's up with her?'

I looked at her in confusion, still maintaining my wariness.

"Fear me not, chosen, for I am your illumination." She said as if introducing herself with pride and politeness.

'Why does she keep calling me chosen one?' I wondered, remembering the first time she called me chosen one.

"Oho, I know that confuse expression of yours." The woman giggled seemingly see through me. "A stirring curiosity sometimes led to ones' devastating downfall."

I felt like I was being seen as an innocent child by this woman.

"But for you, you who was gaze by the light of knowledge are different in any aspect of rationality."

"What do you mean by that?" My tongue slipped, carried by my curiosity. 'Crap!'

I felt like I got trapped in the web's spider. The woman smiled showing her sharp fangs.

"You'll know once you accept and allow me to serve you as your blood."

'What the heck does she mean by that?' Confusion with her unfamiliar logic almost crush my mind like a grinding rock as I tried to comprehend her point. However, her knowledge about this seemingly doesn't exist in the world I came from.

"Or unless, you want to stay here in this world that I annihilated."

I went back from my deep thoughts that drowns me with my confusion, then looked at the woman with my widened eyes. Fear ran throughout my ghost-like body when she admitted she was responsible of the destruction of this world.

"Fear me not, chosen one, for I am your illumination. A key for your life to live again out of this forsaken world." She reminded me, pointedly repeated to not fear her. But how would I not fear her?! Such as her put this world into utter chaos! However, if I really wanted to get out of this place, then, there's one thing I could do... And this is the chance I've been waiting for, for so long.

"Then how?" I asked, feeling like I was putting my life on the line to that question. Wait, I'm already...dead?

The woman flashed a smile, her kissable lips beautifully show her pair of sharp fangs as her pair of golden eyes glimmering at me with the thought in her mind.

"What do you think?" She asked

"By turning me into a vampire?" I honestly answered, seeing the woman's fangs.

"Hahaha~" The woman laughed after I gave her my honest answer and conclusion.

"??"

'Did I get it wrong? Is she not a vampire?' I wondered, being frantic with confusion.

Honestly, I just judged her species and existence base on her fangs.

"Do I really look like one?" The woman asked, looking at me with beautiful glowing eyes. Though she display a beautiful smile with her ghastly looks, I could tell her expression was asking like: are you serious?

"Well, can't blame you with that kind of thought you have in your mind."

"I, Vamirha, once worship as the bloody goddess, not a vampire; in fact, I'm kinda similar to them for I too the embodiment of blood." The woman explained about herself.

'So she's not a vampire? Then what is she then? Wait! She just mentioned she once worship as a bloody goddess and similar to vampires...'

I began to wondered and thought I got the clue to her identity.

"So tell me, chosen one, are you going to accept me? Or stay here forevermore?" She asked again relevant to what she meant to her offer.

'She called me Jaxmith again.'

Since there are no other options, I made up my mind... And that is to take the risk to live again, and this the second chance I've been waiting.

"Acknowledge."

For some reason, something in the back of my mind pushed me to say this single word.

The woman, who was showing her sharp fangs with her smile, vanished... I was taken aback when she suddenly appeared right in front of me.

"Good choice, chosen one." The woman said, licking her fangs as he grabbed my shoulders.

The moment I see her closer, I felt extremely weary and anxious. More or like I have become completely apprehensive.

'O~boy, I don't like where this coming!'

Though I felt like I was being gaze by a gorgon serpent, I chose to close my eyes, ignoring the woman, whom called herself Vamirha.

"Egh!"

Soon, I felt her two sharp fangs pierced into my neck. Her arms were also wrapping tightly yet gently around me as her sharp fangs pierced deeper into my neck. Soon, I began to felt dizzy as something foreign entering my body. Before I knew it two sharp fangs grew from my canines.

"Ugh!" I heard the woman moan.

'Huh! What the heck am I doing?'

Later did I realized, I was already doing the same pace as her. Sucking each other's blood as I assumed.

My consciousness became odd as the time flew I'm doing that. The woman's body glowed bright red; slowly turning into glowing blood, entering my mouth.

"Hahaha~ That's right! Live. For I am you and you are me."

The woman laughed as she entered into my mouth, becoming one with me.

"Live on with the exsancthuar."

"Ah—! ...Gaaaaaah!!"

A surge of anguish pain, hellishly crawling throughout my body. It was indeed an unpleasant feeling as if I was being torn apart. Heat and coldness was all I could felt, as my ghost-like body utterly emitted red glow as the woman had have.
