[Diary Chapter]
What does it mean to become a hero?Is it to become a charismatic light that lit up the world? A figure who was chosen by the gods to chase the shadows out from this world? Or does it just mean to become as flashy as they could by wearing such golden and white armour with a red cape of justice? Bullshit! As I let my comrades escape, I was busy here in this forsaken labyrinth, stopping this gigantic shapeless shadow with pair of purple glowing eyes, as the place collapsing. For someone who has the power to cast strong barrier, I let myself got taken advantage by our situation.
"Quick! Run! I don't know if how much longer I could hold on!" I shouted without caring what happened to me anymore. (I'm dying anyways.)
"Haise!"
That beautiful girl wearing a white astral saintess clothes who shouted at my name is Yuna Uegawa, my childhood friend and ex-lover. I'll be honest, I was a big jester who keep simping on her magnificent throne in her heart, but that is not the reason why I joined in this useless party. Rather, I was set up by those rottens, and they're quite aware of my state. Really, fuck them all for being narcissist! That injured blonde haired good-looking guy over there, who was wearing a white and gold armor with red cape and had a bitter look on his face as he was activating the runes of the teleportation circle, is one of the six Lucian Hero of the Lucian Empire, Daiki Migoro. And those two girls who were holding Yuna's arms are Saki Sakamoto and Haruna Himura. Of course they are both beautiful,
just like Yuna, they are one of the members of the hero's harem.
"No let go of me! I need to help him!" Yuna cried. She let out a shockwave with her magical power, sending Saki and Haruna away from her.
"Haise!"
I heard her approaching voice keep calling my name. Before she could ever pass the threshold that would certainly endanger her life, I stopped her with my telekinetic ability as I slightly turned my head to glanced at her at the corner of my eye...then pushed her back towards Saki and Haruna's arms.
"No..."
Yuna looked at me with an expression of fear of those who's about to lose someone. Honestly, seeing her worried face in this situation, made me somehow felt my worth and value, but that is not because of her. Before she could ever run again towards me, I cast a barrier that blocks her way. "(*Cough!) Daiki!" I shouted after I coughed blood, telling him I'm about to reach my limit. Though my eyes are a little special, my eyesight began to fail me as my body becoming more vulnerable as I kept using my magical powers.
"I'm almost done!" Daiki shouted as he was finally about to activate the last rune. For some reason, I felt like being watch by the the shapeless gigantic shadow monster with its glowing purple eyes. That's right, this monster is not a magubeast. This was the first time we encountered such monster as this. And not even the records and archives tells about it.
THUD! THUD! *CRACK-CRACK—! "(*Coughed blood!)" 'Dammit! My body is really failing me!' The barrier I cast that was hindering the shapeless gigantic shadow monster, began to crack. Soon, the teleportation circle had finally activated. "Haise, the circle is ready set forth!"
*CRACK-CRACK—!
"Go!"
"What about you?!"
"Just go!"
If it weren't for this curse, cast on me by the Lich King and the curse I absorbed from Daiki, I could probably follow them and be able to use my full magical power to maintain the barrier... But in my current state? 'I'm sorry, my dear useless friends!' was all I could inwardly say.
As the shapeless gigantic shadow monster became even more violent, the place became even more chaotic. Large rock from the ceilings began to fall like raindrops along with rattling sounds, seemingly the labyrinth's establishments and foundations was about to reach its limit and collapse. At that very moment, I could no longer heard their words coming out from their mouth.
"Just go! Dammit!" I shouted, injecting all my remaining mana into my crystalline barrier while enduring the pain from the curse that felt like I was being electrified to death. Much to my ignorance, Yuna was really worried about me. She kept on trying to escape from his friends' clutch, pushing them away with all her might, but their grip failed her, badly. Even the hero decided to hold her back. I asked again myself, knowing I was going to die. 'Is this the way of becoming the righteous hero? How disgusting indeed.'
I was disgusted at myself for I still wanted to live. I still have an unfinish businesses and a lot of quest to settle. I didn't even got the chance to eat the limited edition 'Cup Ramen Noodles' I bought or read the remaining chapters and volumes of the mangas I look forward to read. As they finally got teleported out from this place, my barrier finally gave-up. I took out the strongest bomb I created with Haruna from her spatial ring I sneakily took, then pulled its pin before these shapeless monster reach me with its smoky hands.
"Farewell, hypocrites!"
I smirked like I won, but before the bomb exploded a memory of 'me' happily watching the moon and stars with a bald sickly looking little girl, splashed in my mind. 'Sorry, Aishina. Guess...I'll be following you soon...empty handed...'
*KABOOM!!!

[Before The Explosion]
[Yuna's PoV:]
Fear choked my heart from the thought of losing him. I left Haise for the hero with the thought of the hero was about to die because of the curse of the Lich King.
"No! Let go of me! Let go of me!"
"I need to save him!"
"Haise!" I keep on shouting, pushing away my friends. I knew my loud words couldn't reach him, thus, I tried hardly to escape from my friends' grips.
'I'm sorry, Haise. I shouldn't have left you back then, if I just knew this would happen.'
Regrets keep on torturing me, seeing the person I truly love, sacrificing himself for our safety. As the large rocks keep falling like raindrops, the light from the teleportation circle slowly block my eyesight; hindering me from seeing him.
"Haiseee! Noooo!"
I cried and cried as we got transported out from the labyrinth, leaving Haise with his final quest to make sure our safety out from the collapsing labyrinth. At that very moment before the light blocks everything, his back became an unreachable horizon to me, like what we see between the sky and the ocean. And from that day onwards, as a true saintess, Haise became my absolute ideal hero. My one and only righteous hero.
