Chapter 4 - Chapter Four.

She narrowed her eyes, and took another one.

"Be Careful." He warned her.

"It's not that bad, I can take it." She shrugged stubbornly. The Brunette hair man sighed and didn't try to persuade her again, she threw what was In the shot glass into her mouth, it burned down her throat.

"What is this thing?"

"It's called Lava, most wolves enjoy this.

" Why would anyone drink this?" The man laughed.

"I'm impressed, you broke last year's record."

"Very funny." She felt embarrassed, he was very good at teasing her. Heavy footsteps made their way towards them and stop some meters away.

"Alpha Aaron." he greeted the man who was having a drink with the woman.

"Sonny, glad you could join us."

"I apologize Alpha but I'm hear for Lyra, she has training tomorrow...

" Oh is that true?" Aaron looked at the dark skin woman who was half drunk.

"I dunno. But I'm not sleepy."

"See, she said she's not sleepy, why not postpone it" Aaron said not even taking it serious.

"With all due respect Sire, Commitment was the point of having her under sights, her case is not different.

" You are more uptight than my Dad, Sonny."

"Okay, Okay then. I'll go. Just hold my hand throughout least I fall carelessly into the wrong hands of love...

" Who sang that?"

"I don't know, Sonny please don't drop me."

"Only if you don't puke on me.

" I'm starting to want to." She grinned.

****

"Again." He said the nth time when she fell from the obstacle course, they've been on this for weeks now.

"I can't do this."

"I'll be the judge of that." he said softly. She was all sweaty and dripping with mud because of how many times she had been falling off the obstacles.

"I don't know what kind of wolf you are." he sighed.

"A weak Omega, or maybe you're taking revenge on me."

"That's a privilege around here. Omega's are not weak wolves. They are more likely the bright heads around here. You are lesser than an Omega... belittling your rank only tricks your mind into thinking that's what you are. You did more damage to yourself than what your former pack did to you."

"Is this suppose to make me get the strength to defeat this course?"

"Again."

It's been months since Lyra stumbled into the infamous Pantheon Pack. After escaping the jaws of death that day, The pack members took her in, treated her, and questioned her.

The initial rule was that deserters are not allowed into any pack, but in the Pantheon Pack it's different

when deserters are rejected by the packs they come to seek refuge or a second chance. a panel would be held and if for a good reason you left, you would be initiated into a new pack by proving your worth and getting the symbol of the pack engraved on your skin that is accessible...

Lyra wasn't an exception and she was accepted. Her view on the Wolf hierarchy change when she saw the system of how the Pantheon Pack ran.

Pantheon Pack was one of the few pack that allowed not just only werewolves but Other creatures, Making them the stronger having allies with both werewolf packs and other creature kingdoms. they even have a treaty with human Hunters and a friendship with them for decades.

After her initiation into the Pack, she was treated fairly well and developed a good relationship with Alpha Aaron.

As a new member of a pack, a Zeta would be assigned as your guardian for a the next twelve moons.

Lyra was assigned the man that rescued her that day.

Lyra felt welcomed and knew her first step was worth it, the rouge ambush on her became a distant nightmare and so is life in Blood Moon Pack.

Her problem now is Her Zeta, Sonny.

He was one of the few people who didn't show her mercy. Having being training for a month, with little break in between.

She hasn't even handle a weapon, not even a stick. It was from one obstacle course to another, having known the taste of pain and mud, this was too much.

"Where did I go wrong?" She asked sullenly. He looked at her down figure and couldn't help but sigh.

"You're still asleep... The soon you wake the better, there's a life after this training. You have to earn your place." he sat on the bench while twirling a small knife in between his fingers.

"I don't have my wolf yet.

"If you are a special case, I'd be the first to know. Again."

"Sonny let her be. she seems exhausted."

"She's fine Alpha." Sonny said without looking at who it was. Aaron descended the small slope, and walked towards them.

"She doesn't... Come on, look at her.

" Pitiful, not..." Aaron walked towards her and bent down to her kneeling body.

"You can stop if you want to.

" I got this.

"If you ace it this time Lyra. You get this weekend off." Sonny said, At least to give both side an ultimatum. Lyra understood, She picked up her muddy body and made her way towards the starting point of the obstacle course.

Lyra came to know a lot of things, like the fact that She was the first New member Sonny has taken under his supervision. It really shocked the Pack when He accepted the task.

According to story going around, Sonny was the lone wolf of the pack. no one has ever seen him shift. But they knew he was skilled and the best fighter in the pack.

He was so discreet to the extent that he barely goes to the Packhouse, He lives in a Cabin in the southern borders of the Pack.

People tend to give this type of introvert their space, Lyra even had a choice to reject him if she wanted but she found herself nodding in agreement.

So when People saw Sonny being followed by a woman who wasn't a higher wolf, gossips spread like wild fire.

Months passed, and soon Lyra Celeron was better than an average wolf, with the guidance of the infamous lone wolf, she was able to at least take down a small pack of rouges.

"You are officially a member now.

" I've been thinking of trying some choices.

"What would that be.?"

"I could be A Soldier. then become a Zeta like you.

" You can be whatever you want to be Lyra, it's all open to you

"But then again, you would pick on me. Give me more work than usual.

"I have never been impartial, and I'll never be."

"I've known you for over a year now, so I know the kind of wolf you are.

" Hmm...So this is where we part ways.

"Are you leaving for a war or what?"

"No...

"Then why the formal bulls.

" We would be facing two paths, so there might be little chance we might have anything that would make us meet again.

"You're not getting rid of me that easily." She said lowly, she didn't know where that boldness came from but she felt the rumours was quite expensive.

"See you around Sonny." She said normally and walked away.
