Farah Gilbert's pov:
I was so excited that I was going to Washington for my studies. Dad suggested that It's good if I study in a foreign( as I live in Asia - - -). My dad is not so modern and has a conservative mind but still, he is allowing me to study abroad because he knows how much I love studying. I have always wanted to study in foreign and I always worked hard since my childhood. I always got top grades in my class which is one of the reasons my dad suggested this idea. He also trusts me most. I just hope I don't break his trust ever. Tomorrow is my flight to Washington. I was a little bit anxious because I have never gone outside my home town and now I am leaving for another country. This is also my first flight. Dad is not going to come with me but I am happy that my best friend Elena Jones is coming with me. Elena and I have been best friends since my childhood. We have the same taste, the same passion, the same profession, and the same sense of humor. Sometimes people tell us that you two are like twins as we have everything in common in us. We had been admitted to Washington through a great agency and one of the people from the agency is going to accompany us to Washington. As I was thinking about everything Mom came to my room.
Elizabeth: my dear daughter, is everything packed, and are you ready for tomorrow?
Farah: yes Mom, I am very excited and a little bit sad. Mom, I am gonna miss you all.
I had not realized but I had tears in my eyes and I looked at Mom, she was also in tears.
Elizabeth: Oh honey I am gonna miss you a lot. Remember your mother is always with you and I love you a lot and I am very proud of you.
Farah: thanks Mom, I love you too.
Mom put her hands on my shoulder looked into my eyes and said seriously.
Elizabeth: Listen to me Farah, I and Your father love you most and trust you most, So never do anything that will be responsible for the bad reputation of the family. Promise me.
I became a little bit afraid and after taking a little Gulp I said nervously.
Farah: Yes Mom I promise.
Elizabeth: Good, now go to sleep honey tomorrow you have an early flight.
Farah: OK Mom good night.
Mom kissed my forehead and left my room and I closed my eyes.
The next day after saying goodbye to all my family and relatives, Eli( Elena) went to the airport where our agent was waiting for us. After 6 hour long flight we finally reached Washington. After collecting our baggage we reached our college and Boy! this is my dream college. Such a large big campus. The college has 4 departments: the Med Department, Engineering Department, Arts Department, and lastly Business Department which is my department. The campus has a big 3-story library having books in Each department and laboratories for Med and Engineering Students. Business books are on the 1st floor, followed by arts, Med, and Engineering. The campus has 3 playgrounds: One for football, one for Baseball, and one for the normal running playground. The campus also has a basketball stadium. The campus also has a swimming pool as well. The college canteen is also 3 3-story building with different country foods available there for both local and foreign students. The campus also has a gym as well. After that, we did our registration and other paperwork. I and Elena decided we will have single rooms as she and I needed some privacy while studying. The campus has 4 buildings for hostels: One has single rooms with attached washrooms, one has double rooms with single attached rooms, one with Tripple rooms with single attached washrooms, and the last one has 4 rooms with single attached washrooms. It all depends on the student which room he/she wants and how much she can afford. As you know our taste is the same. I and Elena came from a pretty good financial family so money is no issue. One of the students was appointed for our tour on campus. Tomorrow is my big day, my first day in college. I am very excited about Tomorrow. We just finished unpacking and now sitting on Elena's bed. Tonight we decided to sleep together so that we don't feel homesick.
Farah: I am so excited for tomorrow.
Elena: Me too. Tomorrow is going to be a blast.
I chuckled a little bit.
Farah: yeah. We should sleep so that we won't be late on our 1st day.
Elena: Don't worry we will never be late. Good night babe. I love you.
Farah: good night. Love you too.
I hope tomorrow everything will be fine. I am feeling a little bit nervous like something is going to happen tomorrow.
