Aria went outside to spend time with her friends all day. Even though she couldn't be with Quinn until the end, Aria was quite content spending time with her elven friends.
Aria felt tired and wanted to go straight to bed as soon as she got home. But she knew better she shouldn't go home now. The evil mistress wouldn't let her rest like that.
That ugly witch surely would order her to clean up something that unnecessary needed cleaning.
So she decided to go to a cafe while waiting for the sun to set and enjoy her favorite chocolate milk.
Aria pondered Meryl's words as she looked down at her drink blankly. She was astonished when she heard Meryl tell her that she was a fae descendant. But at least she was excited and thrilled, knowing she was a half-breed and not an ordinary human.
But now… hearing an unknown seal inside her body… made Aria feel worried and scared.
Recently she had been experiencing shortness of breath, and her temperature suddenly increased drastically as if a fire had emerged from inside.
Aria thought she was experiencing it because she was too tired or had a fever, so she didn't think much of it.
But… what if it had to do with the seal inside her body?
Will she die? What will happen if the seal is broken?
Who put the seal inside her, and for what purpose?
The biggest question that filled her head was… Who is she?
Aria didn't care who she was. She didn't care if she was a human, fae, or half-breed, but she didn't want to die.
Aria still wanted to find out about her parents; she still wanted to know why her parents left her alone in this mortal realm.
There were many things Aria wanted to do, and she had already written them on her planning list. If she dies… doesn't that mean she can't do all that?
Aria sighed heavily as she closed her eyes. She was still in the same cafe until the sun went down before she decided to go home.
After paying for her drink, Aria walked out and headed straight for the house. Unexpectedly, two towering bulky men blocked her way.
"Miss Ariadnne?"
"..." Aria was silent and speechless while wondering who these two men were.
She wasn't friends with humans in this world, but at least she had recognized almost all the humans living in this area.
And the two people who confronted her and blocked her way were unknown to her. Either these guys are from other districts or come from other realms.
"Yes?" in the end, Aria opened her voice as she felt the two men waiting for her response.
"Please, come with us."
"To where exactly?"
"Our Alpha wants to meet you."
Aria's eyebrow raised at this. An Alpha from a pack in the werewolf realm wants to meet her? Which Alpha? And why did the Alpha wish to meet her?
"What does he want from me?"
"You will know when you meet him."
"If I don't want to comply…." Aria didn't want to meet a werewolf, much less an Alpha. Nevertheless, Aria tried not to irritate the two bulky towering men.
After all, she wouldn't be able to fight the two of them.
"We insist, miss. It's urgent."
"It's about your deeds inside his room."
Ha?? Her deeds inside his room?? Could it be…
"Is there by any chance we're talking about the white Alpha?"
The two men exchanged glances, then turned back to Aria with a flat gaze. "It is, miss."
It was as if Aria could hear a volcano erupting, and she was now at the foot of the mountain. She wanted to run, but she couldn't move a muscle. Aria wanted to turn back time, but she didn't have the ability to do so.
Aria felt her torso was breaking out in cold sweat and her clothes getting wet made her want to take a quick shower with citrus-scented soap. Her hands gripped the fabric of her shirt nervously, and she bit her lower lip.
Why did the Alpha King summon her? Hadn't she already received her punishment and became that Alpha's pillow? Hadn't she returned his most precious magic ointment?
What else could the Alpha want from her?
"Uhm… I can't go to the werewolf realm. I've never been to a world other than this place, and I…."
"Don't worry, miss Aria. Our Alpha reserved a quiet place in this realm. He knows you don't want to go to the werewolf realm. He wished to talk."
Talk? "Talk about what?"
"About…"
"You should go see him now." interrupted the latter guy.
"…" But I don't want to see him! Cried Aria in her heart.
She was worried that she would lose her neck once she met the Alpha. Plus, the man had cleverly rented a deserted place in this world, leaving her no more reason to refuse.
Wait a minute! How did the Alpha know she didn't want to go to the werewolf realm? Does the Alpha know her?
It should have been true, considering these two had called her name.
Aria couldn't help but wonder if she had met with the white Alpha.
"Isn't it a bit late now? The sun has set, and also… there are still rogue vampires out there."
One of the men in front of her smiled gently at her. "You don't need to worry, miss. As long as we are here, you are safe."
"…" I don't care about my safety. It's you that I'm scared about.
Ugh! How can she avoid her encounter with the white Alpha? Aria was too afraid to lose her neck!
She shouldn't have come to the masquerade yesterday. If Aria hadn't come, she wouldn't have needed to meet the white Alpha, and the man wouldn't have tracked her here.
Aria decided to give up and followed the two men to where the Alpha was waiting for her.
Little did she know, her meeting with the Alpha King would turn her life upside down.
