This place was utterly dark, with no sun, moon, or stars to light up the sky.
Aria's grip on Lyod's hand tightened. She began to feel shortness of breath as if someone was taking her oxygen.
"What's wrong? Are you all right?"
"I'm fine. Are you sure we're in the right place?"
"I'm sure. The Wolf Monarch said I only need to think about your trial, and the portal will bring us to the right place. Are you sure you're okay? You don't seem well."
"I feel a bit dizzy."
Lyod carried Aria in his arms, eliciting a startled scream from the girl. Then he sat cross-legged and gently put Aria on his lap.
"Feel better?"
Aria thought about it. "You treat me like a child, you know?"
"If I treat you, child, I will not touch you," whispered Lyod seductively, biting the tip of her earlobe.
"Stop it. We're in the middle of a trial." Aria was worried that her father would suddenly appear in front of them and catch them making out.
