Aria is still trying to nudge the wolf's head while trying to let go of her legs in vain.
"Alpha King, how long are you going to sleep? My feet are starting to hurt." as if she had no fear in front of the mighty Alpha, she let out a voice of complaint.
And yet, miraculously, the white wolf lifted its head, and instead, he laid next to her thigh.
Seriously… what does the Alpha want from her? Should she go now? But what if this wolf chased after her.
Aria shifted her buttocks away a little bit while watching the white creature's reaction. She breathed a sigh of relief when the wolf didn't react.
But… what should she do now?
Aria remembered the medicine container she stole from the white Alpha's room. To save her neck, Aria began to explain the reason for stealing the ointment.
"Alpha King, I know what I have done is wrong, but I have no other choice. Let's just say you've saved someone. Don't they say the werewolf is the human's protector?"
"…" still no reaction from the white wolf.
"If you let me go this time, I'll be forever grateful to you." Aria was disgusted by her own words because she would never change her view of werewolves. But she was forced to say it to save her neck.
"Here is your ointment." Aria placed the silver container near the white wolf's head before rising to her feet. "Then, I'll excuse myself."
Aria didn't dare to look away from the monstrous beast and stepped back slowly. When she felt safe at a considerable distance, she turned around and dashed to her academy building.
Lyod opened his eyes after sensing Aria's smell had drifted away and raised his head to look at the girl's back.
'I will be forever grateful to you.' The girl had said it, but Lyod was pretty sure it wasn't her true feelings. Otherwise, how could he detect a disheartened tone from her voice?
Apparently, Aria's hatred of werewolves was so deep that he didn't know how to approach the girl.
Luckily he met Aria in his feral form instead of his human form. He didn't know what the girl's reaction would be when she saw his face, let alone tell the girl that she was his mate.
He had to change the girl's view quickly before he could meet the girl officially. Otherwise, Aria would run away and stay away from him before he even showed the girl that he had changed a lot.
But... could he handle this long separation? Right after he met her face to face?
That night Lyod decided to return to his realm because there was nothing else he wanted to do in the mortal realm. He didn't notice the presence of a butterfly perched on a tree branch while watching the Alpha's interaction with Aria.
The butterfly flew up into a small circle which was a teleport ring. As soon as Vlinder passes through the portal, the butterfly arrives at the fairy kingdom. It changed form into the younger version of Rousell.
Rousell spread both wings, sped towards the palace, and arrived at the eighth prince fae's chamber.
After knocking once on the door and getting permission from the chamber owner, Rousell went inside.
"This lowly individual pays his respect to the eighth prince." Rousell formed a fist on his right hand and stuck his knuckle on his left chest as a form of respect.
"Hmm. How is the girl? Did something happen to her?"
"The young princess is fine, my prince. Today is the masquerade ball for the mortal realm. Princess Aria hangs out with her friends and enjoys her time at the ball."
The eighth prince smiled at that. "Good, good. She can live her life as a normal girl like any other human. Sending her to the mortal realm was indeed the right decision."
"But, my lord. There is a small matter that you should be aware of."
"What is it?"
"The seal inside her body is fractured, and sometimes her aura changes to that of a vampire."
"Impossible. Wouldn't the seal last for another two years?"
"I don't have the answer. But it wasn't the most urgent thing. It looks like the princess attracts one of the werewolf race."
"Hmph! How dare he! Although everyone has forgotten that our kingdom was almost destroyed because of the pack's raids, our nation has never forgotten it. Which lowly werewolf laid his eyes on my dear niece?"
"It's the new Alpha King, my lord."
"…" Alpha King? The water fae's descendant? "I heard he hadn't found his mate even after three years of searching. Do you think Aria is his mate, or the Alpha only set his eyes on her because of curiosity?"
"Maybe because the princess had sneaked into his pack territory. The Alpha just wanted to make sure the princess sneaked in there."
"Why in the world did she go to the werewolf realm? No wonder her seal had cracked. The Alpha King's residence had magic nuller. It would break her seal if she stayed there much longer!"
"It's all my fault, my lord. I took the punishment from the Chavau mistress, and the princess took the magic ointment from the pack to treat me."
The fae prince sighed in resignation when he heard the explanation. "Alright. It's not like she would linger there for a second time. Make sure the Alpha wouldn't approach her again. I don't want my niece to fall into the hands of a werewolf, especially not that damn white wolf."
"As you wish, my lord." Rousell was about to get up to return to the mortal realm, but the eighth prince prevented him from leaving.
"Wait a minute. Didn't you say that the seal inside Aria's body was weakened?"
"That's right, my lord."
"Then help me prepare a spell to strengthen the seal before you return. Once the seal is broken and she returns to her true self, it will be difficult for us to reseal it. You are my half soul, so we need to do it together."
The two faes stood in a circle of spells created by the eighth prince, and both chanted an incantation while pointing their hands above the circle.
Not long after, a golden yellow pill appeared in midair. The eighth prince gave the pill to Rousell.
"Give this to her without her knowledge. I can't believe we can't strengthen the seal by using the energy of the two of us."
The eighth prince was the strongest and most genius light fairy in this kingdom. On the other hand, Rousell was no ordinary fae as he was created from the prince's half of his power. They had different characters and minds but had the same purpose... to protect Aria in shadow.
As he said, he would never let Aria alone at the same time, he couldn't leave the kingdom to attract unwanted attention. Thus, he separated his half of power and transformed it into another fae creature.
