Chapter 21 - Ch. 21 Her Name Is Aria!

Iona had just finished cooking for today's lunch when she heard the sound of the door opening. Convinced that her mate and the Alpha had gone home, Iona promptly ordered her maids to arrange the dishes, and she ran to greet the two men.

Her blue eyes lit up when she saw the smirk from her mate. But strangely, why did the Alpha's expression look depressed?

Shouldn't he be happy that he finally found his mate? Or could it be Quinn does not like him?

Impossible. Iona knew Quinn wanted to stay in the werewolf realm and become one of the pack warrior's mates. Iona was sure that her childhood friend would jump for joy once she found out that she was the Alpha king's mate.

But why did the Alpha's expression look displeased?

Iona was still thinking about the answer when Douglass put his arm around her waist and kissed her crown.

"What's wrong? Why does he look so dark?"

Douglass's chuckle brought nothing but further confusion. "You won't believe who is his real mate?"

"It's not Quinn?"

"Nope. It's the girl who lived in the Chavau."

Iona's brow furrowed hearing this. So her Alpha's mate is one of those girls. "I'm sorry to hear that." was her short response as if she gave condolence on someone's death. "I don't think I could accept Tracy or Krista to be our Luna. Those girls were so willful and annoying."

"Pfft!" Douglass stifled a laugh while Lyod snorted in displeasure.

"It's not them. I would never accept them to be my mate. I'd rather die than make them my mate. It's someone else." Lyod explained in an impatient tone.

How could everyone forget that three girls lived in the Chavau instead of two??

He also forgot about this because the third girl was the unwanted and the most excluded girl. And yet… her beauty was second to none!

Without realizing it, Lyod had a dreamy daze in his expression, and his magnificent golden eyes looked like he was yearning for someone.

"Oh, no. He's doomed, and no one could save him," commented Iona, who still couldn't remember a third girl living in the Chavau family home.

"Yes, he's in love. But… why did you say he's doomed?"

"I know how much he hated the Chavau girls, but now he couldn't avoid his fate to be mated with one of those girls."

Douglass chuckled in amusement and glanced at his lost in dazed Alpha. The man must be imagining his mate's heavenly beauty face.

"Not them, my love. It was the third girl who lived with them."

"The third girl? Who?"

"Do you remember the little girl who was often locked up in the sports storage academy? I don't remember her name, but Lyod used to call her Ard."

"Ard?" Iona tried to dig into her memories to find any girl whose name was Ard, but nothing. "Who is she? I never heard of it."

"Ard is not her real name." Douglass sighed in defeat. "I'll find out about her. Wait here."

Iona scratched her neck awkwardly after her lover's back disappeared up to the second floor. She tried to call Lyod, but the man seemed to be in love, so she couldn't bear to bother him.

It was the first time she had seen the fiercest Alpha shows a crazy smile as if he had lost his mind.

Iona was relieved that at least the arrogant and self-important Letti wouldn't be Luna. She looked forward to how the girl would react once she heard that Lyod had found his mate.

Nevertheless, Iona was very curious about who had become Lyod's mate. She hoped the girl who would become Luna of the White Bridge Pack was a good girl.

"Aria…"

Iona turned to her Alpha as she thought she heard Lyod speak. "Yes? Did you say something?"

"I remember it. Her name is Aria!"

Aria?? As in… Ariadnne?

Yes! That must be it. Now Iona recalled the little girl who was always protected by Quinn and the other elves whenever a werewolf or human kid bothered her.

Even though Quinn and the other elves tried to protect Aria, they couldn't stop the bullying that happened every day and every second. Not to mention, they didn't have the power or authority to fight werewolves and some noble human kids.

"Alpha Lyod? Is Ariadnne your mate?" Iona asked in a low voice, making Lyod look her in the eyes for the first time since his daydreaming.

"Ariadnne? Ariadnne…" it was as if Lyod ate something sweet every time his tongue rolled on her name. He didn't expect that just muttering the girl's name could make his heart jump with joy.

Ariadnne… what a beautiful name, and it matched her beauty and dauntless spirit. He could never understand why he had attached such a terrible name to her in the past.

Lyod always felt restless and irritated whenever he came face to face with the strawberry blond-haired girl without knowing the reason.

Now that he knew that Aria was his mate, Lyod understood.

Could it be that his inner wolf had always been interested in Aria? But at that time, he had not yet reached adulthood, so he did not recognize his mate. He couldn't get rid of her beautiful face every night, which irked him to the point he wanted to pull the girl's leg.

Who would have thought… the little girl had broken through the door of his heart and lived in it without realizing it.

"Hey, I found it. Her name is…."

"Ariadnne."

"Ariadnne."

Both Lyod and Quinn continued Doug's word at the same time, making the Beta dumbfounded. "You already knew?" then… why did he find out the girl's name??

"I just remember it." that's the answer Lyod gave with a matter-of-fact tone.

"Wouldn't there be a masquerade party at the academy? I will come with you."

"Sure, sure. We can't wait to meet our future Luna."

"But… there's one tiny problem," added Iona with a doubtful tone. "You should know that Aria… she hated werewolves the most."
