Divyat really was contemplating about what to do with Cao Man, but ultimately that was up to whether Zeres would choose to act when he gets back, or when Divyat gets back from his bandit chief trials. Either way the trials took place every month, as opposed to the bandit chief trials that took place every ten years. In fact there was no set date for the trials, all you had to do was show up, get tested, pass the test and you were golden.
Either way just like the bandit trials, the bandit chief trials was held within special 5unnels that were pretty much in a pocket dimension, very much like the crazy massacre that Divyat had to go through during the bandit trials. And this time it wasn't a competition between candidates, but rather a series of tests 5o determine just how capable you were to lead and if you were powerful enough for it too.
