"It's a boy?" said Elizabeth sitting next to Roger, who was crying with joy when I showed them the baby's ultrasound photo. I can see where Riden gets the crying from.
"Yes, mom, it's a boy," I said, hoping this time she would stop asking me if it's really a boy, "Dr. Hale said that it is a boy. If you don't believe me, then ask him he will say the same thing."
When we told our parents that the baby was going to be a boy, mom kept asking me the exact three fucking words it's a boy, and it's driving me crazy. Roger Just crying, not saying a word. He really does look like Riden when he does this, and Trixi just smiles and tells roger that I know, It's beautiful, and it's okay. Not trying to make him stop.
"So, have you guys picked a name?" Trixi smiled, still rubbing her hand on rogers back.
"Yes, we have," Riden smiled, making him look like a dog wagging his tail because he gets to do something.
"Yes, we both looked over lots of different names. But it took us a while to get the right one," I said, thinking about how Riden and I were looking through books websites and even asking people what they named the baby every time we passed a mom or dad with a baby, "The girl name was super easy but the boy name not so much."
"The Girl's name was going to name Olivia, named after your guy's childhood best friend and big brother's mom," Riden smiled, "and I thought it would make everyone happy if it was her name."
When Riden said Olivia's name Roger and Elizebeth both smiled at how we picked that name to name the baby if it was a girl. We both thought it would be perfect because it would make our parents happy, but instead, we were going to have a boy, so Olivia would not be used.
"I think that would have been wonderful," Roger smiled, still crying a little. How many tears does this old man have? It's like a never-ending water supply.
"So since it's going to be a boy, we both decided that the name should be Obi Andrew Richerson," I smiled as I said the name aloud.
"We picked Dearils father's name as the middle name," Riden murmured, looking at both Elizabeth and Roger as they both smiled brightly about the decision we made.
At least they are all happy that they like what we picked, and there were no unhappy faces, so it was a win for Riden and me.
"So we will have a little nephew," Ryker laughed as he walked into the room that still looked like a war room when I first came into this room.
"Hope it talks after Dearil's cute personality," Raylon giggles right behind Ryker.
"So, Little Obi?" Ryker said, thinking as he did, "I like it. It's a thumbs up from me too."
"who the hell said they need your approval," glared Raylon, "When you have kids. Thats if you even do. Then you can decide if it's a good name or not."
"But they were getting the parent's approval and not having the baby," Ryker said, trying to make a point to his brother.
"They were not. If mom or dad said we don't like the name, Riden and Dearil would have said okay, but we will still name him that we just wanted to tell you," signed Raylon, mimicking Roger and his brother's voice when he talked about us saying things.
"I just," Ryker said before Raymond put his hand over Rykers month.
"Nope, I don't care. Let's just have fun. We came in here for a reason, did we not, you dumb fuck," Raylon glared at his brother.
I wonder what they really came in here for. I thought Ryker and Raylon just wanted to be in the conversation, but it looks like I was dead wrong.
"We come in here to let you know that Law and Coran told the kitchen that they dont have to cook dinner tonight," Raylon smiled.
"We thought we should have a barbeque to celebrate the baby's naming," Ryker smiled, helping his brother talk, "also, little brother-in-law?"
"We made share that there was going to be so much food, so eat till you pass out," Raylon smiled, finishing what his brother was going to say, "We know how much food you eat at dinner, so we made it clear to have enough food till you can't eat anymore."
They went as far as making sure that there was food for me to eat without worrying about there not being anything left. I know my eating habits have gotten insane because when I eat, I'm still hungry, and it drives me crazy when the cooks only make enough for me to have 3 servings of food, but I know I can't eat without worrying about a limit. Thank you fucking lord.
