Chereads / White Dragon Lord / Chapter 68 - 68

Chapter 68 - 68

The human adventurers gradually scattered around, trying to surround the wyverns.

The wyverns felt uneasy instinctively and took the initiative to attack. They raised their heads and sprayed acid from their mouths, spilling them on the adventurers.

An adventurer looked at acid falling like a large net, and his scalp was numb; he moved quickly, leaving the area, and when he couldn't avoid it, he erected the shield, curled his whole body into a ball, and hid behind it.

The acid liquid fell on the shield, making a corrosive noise, and the adventurer behind it smelled a pungent sour smell.

The acid attack only had a small range, and the adventurers took advantage of this and charged at full speed from the other side.

After they reached within the 30-meter range of the wyverns several powerful adventurers threw out their spears. The spears cleaved through the air and attacked the beast.

The wyvern flapped its wings and moved to a low altitude. However, it was too big of a target to dodge the attack completely. Some spears shot on the smooth and hard scales and slid away, while the spear shot by the leader of the adventurer broke through the scales and plunged into Allah.

The wyvern, Allah, suffered pain and fell to the ground. The pain dug out the cruelty instilled in its bones. Allah stretched out its head and bit the spear with its mouth. Its head flicked and pulled out the spear, as blood poured out.

Allah let out a painful and angry roar at the leader of the adventurer, its eyes were blood red. This time, it used its wings and hind limbs together as it rushed toward the leader of the adventurers.

The leader of the adventurers held the giant sword tightly and looked at the incoming wyvern, feeling a little headache. Although the Lord White Dragon said that he should not show mercy, as long as he did not kill the wyverns, he did not have to worry about anything else.

But the arrow was on the string, and he had to send it out. The leader of the adventures raised the giant sword in his hand and cut a crescent-shaped slash towards it.

The wyvern, Allah, kicked off his hind legs and then flew out. The leader of the adventurer moved laterally, avoiding the flying dragon's wings. At this time, the blade hit the edge of the stone wall.

At the moment of landing, Allah stretched out its head and bit at the leader. The leader rolled on the floor, and it bit the space.

The surrounding adventurers also rushed to attack the dragon.

Amos looked at him, and the leader seemed extremely thrilled, but in fact, he was as stable as an old dog. If it weren't for the fear of killing it, the great sword would have split its wings, and the wyvern was a gregarious creature. Allah and Scarlett did not cooperate but chose to fight individually.

On the other side of the battlefield, Scarlett got her wings entangled by a thrown net and landed on the ground, roaring at the surrounding adventurers. Among the adventurers, there was no good opponent who could confront the wyvern head-on. Therefore, they surrounded her and used special tactics. Their spears stabbed the wings of the wyvern.

On the other side, Allah also received the same treatment.

Wings were their most powerful weapon. The advantage of flight made it impossible for the legendary powerhouses of the illegal faction to take on the low-level dragons. The power source of the dragon flight was the muscles of their chest, which could support the huge size of the dragon during the flight, and its strength was as imagined.

At the same time, its wings were also the most vulnerable part of dragon-like creatures. The first target of a professional dragon-slaying team was not the dragon's neck, but the dragon's wings.

Because dragon wings were more fragile than the necks that had hard scales and muscles, and as long as the dragon wings were decapacitated, the danger would be reduced by half. After all, a fighter or a tank was more threatening.

The wings of the two wyverns were broken, and they lost their ability to lift off. They panicked and swung with their tails, driving away the besieging adventurers, while spewing acid around wildly.

The adventurers were forced to flee in a hurry.

A thief couldn't dodge and was attacked with acid on his arm. He gritted his teeth and cut off the corroded part while running. He fled to a distance, tore off his clothes, and strangled his arm to prevent excessive blood loss and death.

A ranger was drenched in a ball of acid on his head, and he fell to the ground as blue smoke emitted from his head.

A soldier fled with a shield. In a panic, he stepped on a pile of acid. He quickly took off his shoes and discarded them.

The leader was powerful and ran the fastest. He escaped far away and dropped the shield in his hand that had been corroded and damaged.

The leader took a look at the battlefield. There were several bodies on the ground that had been corroded by acid and didn't look humane anymore. Even if he was exposed to acid, he would have to peel off his skin if he didn't want to die. The death-related talents of dragon-like creatures really made people feel terrifying.

At this time, there was no one around the wyverns, and the surrounding rocky ground was corroded with scattered pits everywhere. The two wyverns panted heavily, staring fiercely at the adventurers who hurt them and gradually moved closer.

Amos looked at the battlefield below, and the two wyverns looked at the enemy's eyes. They already had the unending wildness of the dragons, and they gradually moved closer, indicating that they had initially realized the importance of forming a team.

The goal of this battle had been achieved.

The leader of the adventurer looked at the wyverns gradually approaching and shouted, "Long-range weapons, attack!"

The adventurers threw axes and spears in the face of large creatures with hard scales like dragons unless it was a sharpshooter, bows and arrows had limited effect, but axes and spears still had a chance to break the defence.

Throwing a spear and a throwing axe caused certain injuries to the wyverns and they defiantly fought back with acid.

But soon, the two wyverns stopped, as the number of throwing weapons carried by the adventurer was limited, and they had nothing left to throw.

The leader shouted, "Everyone! They are also out of acid, charge!"

The adventurers rushed towards the wyverns, surrounding them, while the two wyverns faced opposite sides, staggered, and covered each other. Although they were attacked by humans from time to time, they were able to launch several decent counterattacks.

Gradually, the wyverns became more and more familiar with their cooperation, but it only prolonged the time of failure. They still faced more and more wounds. Within ten minutes, the wyverns would lose.

Amos felt that this game was meaningless, and was about to end the fight. At this time, a godlike twist took place in the Colosseum.

After a long period of fighting, Allah's acid recovered a little. It opened its mouth and spit out old phlegm, which caught the adventurers by surprise. Because the distance was too close, it was too late for the adventurers to run.

A soldier saw the acid coming its way and did nothing. He caught the thief on one side and raised him in front of himself. The thief was defenceless against his companions and became a substitute for death. The adventurer succeeded and survived.

When other adventurers saw this situation, their expressions changed sharply, and they watched their surrounding companions vigilantly. The team that was originally loyal became unfamiliar in an instant, and the original proficient cooperation disappeared. Instead, the wyverns seized the opportunity and flew away.

Amos watched such a dramatic scene, and let out a sigh full of emotion and sarcasm, "Huh! human nature!"

This kind of meaningless killing could not bring any growth to the wyverns, and Amos stopped them.

"You guys are free!"

The adventurers got their long-awaited freedom, but they didn't feel any joy. They moved to the opened gate and left the field in despair.
