Shang needed to strengthen his Realm first. Focusing on comprehending Concepts now would only waste time, and the Concepts wouldn't run away from him.
First, he needed to actually become more powerful.
Then, he would comprehend a couple of non-essential Destinations.
And finally, he could decide what he wanted to comprehend after that. At that point, he could focus on Entropy if he wanted to.
Shang pulled the black sphere of Entropy towards himself and absorbed it. Absorbing the ball of Entropy wasn't any different for Shang from absorbing a ball of pure Mana.
