Chapter 4 - Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon Case

Scarlett is excited about the big night ahead. She has been looking forward to it all month. The celebration of love between her and Brad. The girls are spending the night with Julie. February 14 is the celebration honoring one or two early saints named Valentinus. Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world. Saint Valentine of Rome was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry, and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire. During the imprisonment of Saint Valentine, he restored the sight of his jailer's blind daughter. Before the execution of Saint Valentine, he wrote a letter to her and signed it "Your Valentine" as a farewell. A martyr is someone who suffers persecution and death for advocating, renouncing, refusing to renounce, or refusing to advocate a religious belief or cause as demanded by an external party.

Scarlett enjoyed the evening alone with Brad. It was something they rarely did. The night was romantic. Seeing Aphrodite dancing with Hephaestus, Scarlett remembers the day of her wedding and danced the first dance as husband and wife. While thinking about seeing Aphrodite pregnant. She remembered the joy on Brad's face and the excitement in his eyes when she told him they were going to have a baby. The celebration of Valentine's Day filled Scarlett with warmth, comfort, enjoyment, and love. As Scarlett and Brad departed the dance, the telephone rang. Colonel Andrews requested Scarlett to report to work Cloe, an eighteen-year-old girl had been reported missing.

Scarlett reported to work. Cloe was reported missing by her mother. Cloe never came home. She attempted to call Cloe, but no one answered the phone. Cloe was at school all day and had a date that night. Cloe never stayed out after midnight. She always called if she was going to be late. Scarlett called the school and Cloe was at school all day. No one had seen her after she left school. Scarlett asked, "Who did Cloe have a date with?" Her mother responded, "I didn't know Cloe was a private person."

Cloe was eighteen and grew up a sheltered child. Her family life was surrounded by Christian activities. Going to church every time the doors open. Doing community work and charity events. Cloe's mother, Virginia, is a schoolteacher and her father, Peter, is a minister at the local Baptist Church. They lived in a small community and the school she attends was for first to twelfth grade students. Virginia worked at the school she attended. There was never a moment one of her parents were not there. During the day at school, Virginia was there and during the Christian activities one or both of her parents were there. Cloe never had a chance to spread her wings and see what the real world was really like. She was always protected.

Scarlett and Virginia search Cloe's bedroom for clues. Maybe she had left something Scarlett could use. Scarlett found a journal on the nightstand beside the bed. She read some of the pages in the diary. On the last page was written. Let him kiss me with kisses on his mouth. For your love is more delightful than wine. On another page was written. Eliza so loved her husband and could not give him a child. She offered her servant Hagar as a surrogate to provide him with a child. Hagar began to look down on Eliza because she could not give him a child and treat her badly. Eliza fled from the town feeling ashamed about what had happened. Love makes us do silly things to please the person we live with.

Jacob worked seven years to be allowed by Rachel's father to marry her. The day came when he could finally marry the love of his life. The one he hungered to be with. The one he wanted to spend eternity with. On the wedding day, the bride was concealed under a veil. The wedding was perfect. The wedding night was as he had dreamed it would be. The marriage was consecrated that night. The following morning, however, wasn't good. It turns out that Rachel's father had put Leah under the veil and deceived Jacob. Leah was Rachel's older sister and her father believed that the older child should marry first. Jacob was angry and vowed that he would still marry Rachel. Jacob had to work another seven years to be allowed to marry Rachel. After seven years Jacob had two wives. After he married Rachel, the two sisters became jealous of each other and wanted to provide Jacob with a child. Leah provided Jacob with the most children. Rachel provided Jacob with one child. The child Rachel provided was the most loyal child. Rachel's child became a favorite of Jacob. Do things for the right reason and good things will come to you. Do evil things and they will return to you. The last few entries in her journal were about love and marriage. While looking through the room, Scarlett found an appointment book. The book had recorded all the times Cloe had worked as a volunteer at the local children's hospital. Cloe was scheduled to work the day she disappeared.

Scarlett visited the hospital. Cloe would come to the hospital after school. When talking to the volunteer manager, Cloe reported to work that afternoon. She always visited a five-year-old girl, Sarah, in room 204. Scarlett went to the second-floor nurses' station to request to visit Sarah. When she approached the room, Sarah's mother, Amelia, was in the room. Scarlett asked Amelia to come into the hallway so they could talk. Cloe had visited Sarah the day she was missing. Cloe would always bring Sarah a pack of M&M and read her a fairytale. Sarah looked forward to seeing Cloe. Scarlett had a Déjà vu experience. King Almond had seven sons. All of them had the same mother except one. Jotham was considered an outsider because his mother was a servant. Jotham became very jealous of his brothers. She visited each of them at their home and stoned them to death. Three years later, a woman cast a piece of a millstone and hit Jotham in the head and shattered his skull. Jotham begged his servant to kill him because he would be disgraced if the kingdom knew he was killed by a woman. Jotham killed his brothers by stoning them to death. Now Jotham was eventually killed by a stone himself.

Sarah was sick and needed a heart transplant. Sarah had fallen in love with Cloe. Cloe always made Sarah smile. Sarah loved hearing the fairytales that Cloe read to her. She never wanted anyone to read her a book except Cloe. Cloe and Sarah had a special relationship. They were best friends. Scarlett heard a shot and ran to the nurses' station to see what had happened. Sarah's father, Jim, had shot himself and died. Scarlett begins to investigate the crime scene. Jim had a note in his hand. It stated, "I am an organ donor and I leave my heart to Sarah. Please ensure that she receives my heart." Sarah received the heart that belonged to her father. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. Jim committed suicide to give Sarah his heart so she could continue to live.

Scarlett receives a phone call from Colonel Andrews. An eighteen-year-old boy ,Carl, a senior in High School, was missing. Carl never returned home from school. Scarlett had a Déjà vu experience. Two men entered the city and Chad invited them to come to his house and spend the night. The two men refused to spend the night at his house. There were no inns available. The two men sleep in the streets wrapped up in their cloaks. The next day, the two men went to the home of Chad with wickedness and corrupted manners. Chad allowed the two men to spend the night in his house. He saw the two men having sex and continued to watch them. This was the first time Chad had seen such activity. The two men expressed pleasure in the activity. Chad lay with the two men and began having sex. A volcano erupted with the rain of fire and brimstone. The city and the surrounding area were destroyed by a fiery shower that covered the land. The liquid lava destroyed the men. A cloud of smoke rising from the plain was visible for the remaining kingdom to see.

Scarlett arrives at Carl's house. Carl's mother, Julie, came to the door and invited Scarlett inside for a cup of coffee. Scarlett went inside to the dining room and began to question Julie. She stated that Carl was a good student and had a wonderful future ahead of him. He was looking forward to going to college. He had been offered several football scholarships. Carl was popular at school and could have any girl he wanted. Scarlett interviewed the team, and no one knew where Carl was.

Scarlett continued to question the team. Nobody on the team knew Carl was a homosexual until he was seen kissing a guy after practice. None of the team members had ever seen the guy before. When Carl realized he was caught. He stated, "Yes That's right, I'm Homosexual and you better not tell anyone!" Carl knew if everyone found out he a homosexual, no college would want him to be on the football team. Scarlett knew that Carl had disappeared after being seen by the football team kissing a guy.

While Scarlett was talking to the football team, she received a phone call from Colonel Andrews. A body matching the description of Carl had been discovered in the Grand Canyon. Scarlett requested to go and continue her investigation in the Grand Canyon. He was reported missing and the case was assigned to her. He was found at the bottom of a precipice. Some hikers discovered his body.

Scarlett had a Déjà vu experience. She was on vacation in the Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon . As she walked toward Bright Angel Point, the voices became louder. Suddenly, a man started screaming and she saw him being pushed off the cliff. When Scarlett arrived at the Point, she looked down at the river. She saw a man lying on the shore of the river at the bottom of the Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon . The man was lying on rocks beside the river. She took a mule to the bottom of the canyon to the site it was Carl. She didn't get a good view of the woman.

Scarlett had a Déjà vu experience. She was standing at the Rim of the Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon and Carl jumped off the cliff. He committed suicide. Scarlett finds the suicide note in her car. The note stated, "I have now lost everything. All my hopes and dreams. The football team found out I was a homosexual. I can never play football again. Everyone hates me. They will never accept me. Mom, I'm sorry I disappointed you." Colonel Andrews called Scarlett and informed it had been approved by the Police Commissioner and the Sheriff. She immediately packed her luggage and boarded a plane. While on the plane, she had a Déjà vu experience. Carl and some friends were White Water Rafting on the Colorado River and the boat overturned. Carl hit his head on a rock and was later washed up on the bank.

Death is the main danger feared in whitewater rafting. Far more likely are injuries sustained from smashing, banging, brushing, and smacking up against rocks. These types of occurrences can happen while still on the raft. People have died in the Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon since modern record-keeping began, in incidents ranging from drowning to air crashes to suicides. Carl and Cloe disappeared about the same time. Scarlett wondered if it was possible they were together. If the body was Carl, then where was Cloe? She arrived at the police station in the Grand Canyon. She reviewed the pictures of the scene, and the body was identified as Carl. He didn't have on a life jacket. His was not White-Water Rafting. She requested to see the personal belongings of Carl. While looking in his wallet he saw a picture of Cloe. The picture was of Carl and Cloe together at a church Valentines' Day Dinner.

Scarlett called Virginia to see if she knew Carl. Carl and Cloe had been best friends since elementary school. Scarlett had a Déjà vu experience. Cloe was surrounded by three friends. When her friends heard of all this evil that had come upon her, they each went from their own house. They come together for the trip to the Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon to show her sympathy and comfort her. And when they saw her from a distance, they did not recognize her. They raised their voices and wept, and they tore their robes and sprinkled dust on her head toward heaven. They sat with her on the ground for seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to her, for they saw that her suffering was very great. Cloe was sitting on the ground at the rim of the Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon weeping. Holding her face in her hands. Her friends placed their hands on her and began to pray. Cloe would never tell her friends what happened that day. She refused to talk.

Scarlett had a Déjà vu experience. Cloe was sitting in a church. The Priest was telling Coe "Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgive each other. Cloe, the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all, these put-on loves, which bind everything together in perfect harmony. Cloe had been hurt emotionally by someone and needed to forgive them. For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Cloe tried to forgive but she was angry and hurt.

Cloe wanted to become closer to the Lord. She joined a convent and became a nun. Nuns historically take solemn vows and live a life of prayer and contemplation in a convent. She lives in active vocation of prayer and charitable works in education and healthcare. In general, when a woman enters a religious order, she first undergoes a period of testing for life for six months to two years called a postulancy. After the period was completed, she will receive a habit. Cloe couldn't contact her family during the postulancy. She didn't want to tell her parents she was joining the convent. Her father is a Baptist Minister and the belief of the convent is different. Nuns have three vows: chastity, meaning they do not get married and if they are not allowed to fornicate. Poverty means they will not own property beyond a few items out of necessity. Obedience means to remain faithful to the teachings of God, the church, and to be obedient to your superiors. They are quite restricted and if they are to do anything outside of the rules of the convent, they are required to ask permission from their superior. While most would never want to live such a life, for a nun, it can be the most freeing as they are able to commit their whole beings to the love of their life. In a sense, marriage is just as restricting for a wife to forget herself and give and give to her spouse and children. There are times when she'll scream and want to pull her hair out. There are times when she will get fed up with working so hard without appreciation. However, these frustrations are minor burdens compared to the love she had for her spouse and children. Statements made to a minister, priest, rabbi, or other religious leaders are generally considered privileged or confidential communications. State laws generally exempt a pastor from having to testify in court, or to law-enforcement, because that was discussed in a church confession several years after the disappearance of Carl and Cloe. Cloe believed that he must confess to the priest the incidents that occurred on the tragic day. She believed it was the only way to get forgiveness. Cloe entered into the confession and stated, "Father, please forgive me. I have sinned. Many years ago. Carl came to the hospital where I was doing volunteer work and asked me to marry him. I had been in love with Carl since Elementary School. He was my childhood sweetheart and my best friend. I was happy and said yes. Carl insisted that we elope and go to Los Vegas and get married in a little wedding chapel.

Before going to the wedding chapel, we decided to visit Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon . While exploring the Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon, Carl made a confession to me. He was homosexual and wanted to marry me to cover up his sexuality. I was mad and started arguing with Carl. I thought he proposed to marry me because he loved me. That was not the truth. He was only going to hide his sexuality. He knew that he could deny the allegations of the football team by being married to a woman. Carl wanted to go to college on a scholarship and become a professional football player. He knew if everyone found out he was a homosexual he would never be allowed to fulfill his dreams. I was angry and started yelling at Carl. He walks backwards to bring distance between us. He then walks off the cliff into the Parvati Eros Aphrodite Canyon. I knew he was dead. I just left him there and never told anyone. I was afraid. I joined the Covent to show my loyalty to God. I wanted to become close enough to him. I was close enough that he would forgive me. I know it was an accident. I couldn't stop him from falling off the cliff. If I had not been made that day this never would had happened. I was so filled with anger that he had done this to me. I was hurt. I thought he loved me. He didn't love me. He only wanted to hide his sexuality. Father, will you please forgive me?"

The priest encouraged Cloe to call the police and let them know what happened. He agreed to go with Cloe when she talked to them. Cloe was afraid to go to the police. She kept repeating, "It was an accident. I didn't mean for him to walk off the cliff. At that moment I was angry. I have been living with this since the accident. I will have to live with it for the rest of my life. Father, will you please forgive me? The priest explained to Cloe she would never find peace until she reported it to the police. She also had to forgive herself. Eventually, Cloe agrees to report the accident to Scarlett.
