Unknown Place: Unknown Time
We see we are inside an underground cave with what appears to be magma flowing through thick vein like chambers which mimic a pulse. We also see a few cages strewn about most with skeletal remains. We drift slowly to one of them and see a man kneeling with his head in his hands. From nowhere a man dressed in a black robe with blood red symbols appears and looks at the cage in disgust.
Man
I thought you had expired by now…Korell
Korell raises his head weakly and glares at the man and his eyes flash bright purple.
Korell
Sorry to disappoint you…Warden
Warden
Every day I pray to the ancients that you, have left this world… and yet you still disappoint me. Your stubbornness is beginning to bore me. And yet, I must abide by their rules and keep you here.
Korell
If I bore you warden, all you must do is let me out.
The warden laughs and scoffs.
Warden
Come now Korell, you truly believe that I am that stupid? Your pathetic little tricks won't work on me I'm afraid. Nor anyone will come to your aid. Now to business, as you need sustenance you will receive a portion of energy now and then.
Korell
(Scoffs)
I do not need that… Sliver you call my… requirements, to keep me alive. Just take me to those… cowards who call themselves the ancients and be done with it.
Warden
(Threatening tone)
You would do well to mind your blasphemous tongue, as I don't take kindly to those who blaspheme in my presence. If you wish not to hasten your demise, I suggest you keep those thoughts to yourself.
Korell
(Laughs Madly)
You think you scare me warden? I don't fear you, nor do I fear death.
Warden
They are fates worse than death, I suggest you get comfortable Korell... You're going to be here a… Long time. May I suggest that you, do not try and think of ways of escaping.
Korell
This place has never held me Warden…I will earn my freedom, one way or another.
Warden
I think not Korell, you forget I have eyes everywhere watching your every move. So, don't even attempt to escape.
The warden and Korell just glare angrily at each other. The warden walks away scowling only briefly at Korell as he just places his head in his hands as the image of Korell becomes rippled. We see Roselle and the other ancients looking at the image then turn away as the image ripples into nothingness.
Roselle
I pray that place, can hold him.
Ancient
We are confident in the warden's abilities, my lord. Korell is contained and will never escape.
From nowhere Sam appears. He is in casual clothing. Roselle smiles at him and they both share a brief hug.
Sam Shepard
Any word?
Roselle
I'm afraid not. He lives…yes but I cannot find him.
Sam Shepard
What about using that mirror thing you use, to see?
Roselle
I have tried Sam, but it cannot find him. I deduce that he is been sent backwards, but to where I do not know. But do not fret, as soon as I know… I will inform you.
