"I have never heard of anyone powerful begging to give someone their power," I replied. "If you want your children dead so badly, you can kill them yourself."
He took in a deep breath and said in a low dark melancholy voice, "Have it your way then. I would spend my time killing your precious Iris then. I would flay your baby out of her stomach and eat it."
Then, he started to drag his feet away again. The hairs on my body stood still. He said it as if he was already on his way to go and kill Iris.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked as my voice echoed off the walls of the cave. "You must be joking. They did nothing to you."
He paused, then he replied. "You seem satisfied with the idea of Marius taking your mate and your child. I decided to take that away from you."
