The guard examined my horse and me from head to toe. "I want to see her face." He insisted.
Bjorn sighed. "Why?"
"King Marius gave us strict instructions not to let his princess pass without his direct permission."
"We want to reach york before Morning; you are wasting time," Bjorn replied sternly.
"The guards before us let her walk past these gates without saying anything, and they all vanished the next day. How do you think that we got these jobs?" Jonah asked.
"How am I supposed to know? It is your job." Bjorn replied.
"You are wasting our time, to be honest. I would ask you to go and confirm from the King himself, but he is upset about their quarrel. You would receive an avoidable tongue lashing." Bjorn continued.
Jonah scratched his jaw. "Okay, give me something to sweeten the deal."
