IRIS.
I woke up back in my bed. My body was sore from what felt like burns all over my body. I tried to get up, but a cold hand nudged me back to the bed.
"You will need your strength; please rest." A familiar voice urged. I turned and saw Marius sitting by the side of my bed. He had a worried look on his face.
"What was your plan?" He asked. "Die from exhaustion in the desert? You didn't even take any form of sustenance,"
I was surprised that was his reaction to me trying to escape. He did not seem angry at all. Instead, he was worried about my health. Then, I remembered Percy; I killed him and could not even achieve the task I set out to. He died for nothing.
"How did you find me?" I asked weakly.
"Luck." He replied. "I was just lucky. One of the guards found Percy on the floor, on the brink of death. I gave him some blood, and he told me you ambushed him."
