The magic shop was ruined. The attacks had broken the shelves, and there was the matter of the weather attack that Kara had unleashed on Bailey. The corpse of the bears lay on the floor, on top of the debris everywhere.
"What do we do next?" I asked Kara. She did not reply. She was lost in thought, trying to figure out a way out of the literal mess we were in.
"We find him." She replied. "If I can find a map, I might be able to find him. If we are lucky, he went straight to his lair, and we can find the flower there."
I sighed. "You have not even appreciated me for saving your life, and you intend to drag me to another death match."
Kara scowled. "He made my cousin's life seem like it did not matter. He has to pay." She announced.
I folded my hands across my chest and looked away. "That does not sound like gratitude," I said.
