"Is he gone?" I asked.
"Yes," Kara replied. "The fire won't stop until his body turns to ash. He should have been dead a long time ago; the earth is collecting back its dust."
"I hope we did not alert the others," I asked kara.
"If you mean to ask if the boundary spell worked, then yes. It did." She answered.
I nodded back. The room was dimly lit with candles, and I could still taste Abu's blood in my mouth. I wanted more. Somehow his blood was the best thing I had tasted since I became a vampire. I felt like it was because they were older, so their blood had somehow aged with time.
"Where next?" I asked.
"We go to the next room and find the next vampire." She replied as she turned back invisible.
Her illuminated steps led us to the next room. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. Kara whispered, and the door lock opened. The smell from the room was feminine; it consisted of flowers of different flavors.
