The air was suddenly filled with excitement. Ivar hit his hands rhythmically against the table. Derek laughed uncontrollably, and he could not believe what he was witnessing.
We all knew that this time we would be victorious because Kara would be going with me this time. That coupled with my newfound vampire abilities, there was no way that Marius and his family stood a chance against us, but we needed a solid plan.
"We need a plan," I said. "We can not just go storming into their midst."
Kara laughed. "Of course, we can. I can bring down any vampire that stands in my way."
I was not surprised that she said that. Kara had done many things that I did not think were possible. Stealing my power and distributing it like it was grain was something I was never going to get over.
"It can not be that easy," Ivar said. "Do you not need to recharge or something?"
