We finished drinking the remaining soups in our plates and derek thanked the older man. "Accidentally meeting you and your grandsons has been a blessing." He said rubbing his stoamch.
"Thank you for the meal." I added
The older man smiled. "I am just happy that i was able to help you."
The twins were so full from eating all the chicken alone. They sat down on a broken tree trunk with a satisfied grin on their faces.
I was eager to leave, so i pushed the older man to his word. "You said that you were interested in letting us have some of your horses." I asked.
"Of course, take two of them. They can both share one if they need to find their way to the village."
"You are really kind." Derek said to the man. He gave me a side wink to allow me know that he had won the silly bet. The bet felt silly now that i had lost.
He placed his hands on the older mans shoulders and said.
