Nick Fury and Coulson exchanged a glance, both feeling a sense of absurdity.
After living in the age of science for so many years, it was hard for them to believe in the ethereal concept of magic. Even the battle-hardened black director was experiencing a sense of disbelief!
As scientists, especially prominent figures in their fields, believing in "theology" was inconceivable. Yes, Nick Fury had categorized that "magic" into that realm, but with his keen intuition, he felt that something was off.
"Professor? Professor?" Nick Fury pulled him aside, but his eyes were still fixed on the patterns as if he was enchanted.
It wasn't until Coulson stood before the old professor that he calmed down to some extent. However, if one observed closely, one could still see intense and impassioned flames burning in his eyes.
The three of them engaged in a heated discussion, debating back and forth, but most of the time, the old professor did most of the talking while the others listened.
His demeanour was not much different from chastising a student.
A formless figure floated quietly in the air in an area hidden from their sight. It was a woman, bald instead of having flowing locks.
Her eyes radiated unparalleled wisdom, her face devoid of expression. It seemed that nothing could shake her demeanour.
The projections on the wall did not reflect in those eyes. They did not exist, or perhaps they did not exist in this time and space.
She slowly outlined those patterns in her eyes, and even though the projections weren't precise, they were still legible.
The patterns weren't overly complex; she only spent time figuring out their positioning. In a short while, they were utterly outlined.
The indigo-hued array diagram rotated slowly. Perhaps due to insufficient free energy around, the diagram showed signs of collapse.
The woman looked at her left hand, and the array diagram had transferred at some point.
She seemed to speak, but her words were not evident in the fabric of spacetime. "Gravity..."
Suddenly, inside the room where the debate was ongoing, the three of them felt a heavy sensation, and then they disappeared!
Nick Fury and Coulson quickly drew their guns, looking around in surprise and suspicion.
However, the woman had vanished completely, leaving without a trace. It was unclear whether she had gone to find the owner of the array diagram or made some other arrangement.
...
Back at that same hotel, Kurumi suddenly yawned!
For someone of her strength, it was an incredible sight!
As for whether the woman could find her, that was quite uncertain.
Even the world consciousness couldn't confirm it with the Supreme Being concealing her presence. Even TOAA hadn't bothered her, let alone anyone else.
In this world now, those who knew her appearance were either dead or had forgotten.
"Master, would you like a cup of hot tea?" Red Queen asked.
Kurumi rubbed her little nose, and her gaze remained fixed on the thick stack of documents in her hand. "Alright, how about a cup of milk tea?"
"Understood, Master."
"Oh, by the way!"
"Do you have any other orders?"
Kurumi put down the documents in her hand and looked at Red Queen seriously. She said, "Less sugar in the milk tea."
Rolling her eyes at the projected form, Red Queen replied, "As you wish, Master."
Kurumi nodded and continued to pick up the documents. The registration of Umbrella was completed, and as for the subsequent development and management, Red Queen had already formulated a plan.
Now that it was time for confirmation, the printed documents were handed over to the master... in this case, for her to review.
She meticulously studied the English words on the pages with her wine-red eyes.
Though she recognized all the individual words, when combined, they became confusing!
Oh my gosh! Let her assassinate someone or even write an emotional article—anything would be fine. But when it came to company matters, she was genuinely lost.
If it weren't for Red Queen looking at her with such eager anticipation, she wouldn't have forced herself to read this thick "development plan"!
Even though Red Queen would handle all the operations, and she could just reap the benefits right now... as her eyes rapidly scanned the English, her small hand quickly flipped to the next page. Even though she didn't quite understand, looking at this plan made her feel like it was very grand.
"Clap."
Half an hour later, Kurumi had finally finished the thick stack of documents. Suddenly, all the words started to blur together in her mind, forming a torrent that buzzed and chirped, creating quite a stir.
Whenever she thought about something now, her mind was filled with these specialized terms, making her feel even more miserable than when she memorised vocabulary for her college entrance exam in her past life!
Kurumi felt that this torrent would destroy even her [Alpha] advanced mental capabilities if she didn't take a break.
Summoning her strength, she nodded to the little girl projected before her and said, "The plan is quite good; let's go with it. Is there anything I need to do?"
Red Queen was incredibly excited, her smile blooming on her face. "No, no, no, Master. Just rest. I will take care of everything for you. As for the company's location choice, it's up to you to decide on the headquarters."
"Company location?"
"Just for the headquarters. I suggest you choose a bustling area, as it would benefit promoting the business."
Kurumi pinched her chin. "Then let's go with the Stark Tower across from Stark Tower in New York."
Red Queen nodded in agreement, her excited demeanour unabated. "Shall I start preparing, Master?"
Kurumi waved her hand. "Go ahead, go ahead. I trust your abilities. I'll rest for a bit."
With that, Kurumi collapsed onto the large bed and buried her face in the pillow.
Red Queen bowed slightly to the Kurumi on the bed and then disappeared.
A gentle breeze rustled outside the window, and the thick stack of documents was left on the table. No one could have expected that the highly sought-after item that even the upper echelons of the military dreamed of obtaining would be scattered around so haphazardly. A couple of pages even ended up blown onto the floor.
If Kurumi had looked more closely and put up restrictions... Red Queen wouldn't have acted so impulsively.
Presumably, she hadn't anticipated that a seemingly vivacious young girl would hide such a violent factor within her!
However... what did Kurumi have to do with that?
As Red Queen roamed the internet, she quickly occupied several large-scale cloud computing bases to ensure she had enough computational power.
Jarvis didn't say anything. While he couldn't impose restrictions on her, he could still determine her goals by tracking her actions.
Until... the building across from Stark Tower was purchased and construction began, did he decide it was time to report some information to Tony?
...
Tony was sweating in his workshop when he stiffened upon hearing Jarvis's report. His expression turned serious. "Are you saying that the building they're constructing is taller than Stark Tower?"
"Yes, sir. However, I think you're focusing on the wrong aspect..."
"Jarvis, please stop talking. Let's research this together."
"Understood, sir. Shall we continue with the experiment?"
"No!" Tony's tone was unusually decisive. "Let's focus on researching the modifications to Stark Tower."
