Lightning crackled and thunder sounded in the background as the two creatures stood face to face. Rain pounded on them as the red fox stood face to face with the white wolf. Their fur glimmered silver in the moon light neither one moving an inch as they stared into each other's hate filled eyes. Everything seemed to go into slow motion as the fox let out a piercing shriek and charged toward the wolf. The wolf took up the challenge with a piercing howl and met the fox head on. The fox bit towards the wolf's neck as the wolf grabbed onto the fox's tail and quickly moved out of the way to avoid the foxes bite. The wolf responded to the fox's actions with a quick paw to the face and a bite to the stomach. The fox rolled and kicked its back legs as the wolf jumped on top of the fox sending the wolf flying through the air and into a tree. The wolf slid down landing on the forest floor bruised and bleeding. The fox slowly walked towards its prey, licking it's muzzle in anticipation of tasting the wolf's blood. The wolf sensed the fox getting closer and refused to die. It opened up its eyes and stood and turned toward the fox ready to face it head on. The fox jumped, pulling back its lips in a raging snarl while flying through the air like a python striking its prey. But the wolf was ready and quickly sidestepped the fox and delivered a powerful paw to the face and quick as lightning turned in a tight spiral smacking the fox with its hind paw and sending it flying. But the fox wasn't giving up. It twisted its bleeding body in mid air and landed on its feet facing the wolf. Before the wolf could react the fox was already flying through the air growling and biting the wolf. The wolf responded with growls and bites of its own. The two rolled around in the mud until the fox pushed the wolf off of its body and smacked the wolf with its dirt covered tail blinding the wolf and driving the wolf back. A crashing sound sounded behind the wolf as the landscape behind him broke up into a landslide. The fox seeing the advantage jumped flying through the air aiming towards the wolf's midsection ready to push it off. But as the fox flew through the air the wolf quickly followed it's instinks and rolled onto its belly and kicked out with it's hind legs launching the fox into the direction of the landslide where it disappeared. The wolf used it's paw to wipe out the mud from it's eyes and the continued to stare at the spot the fox had disappeared to ensure it didn't come back. It then turned it's head and headed through the thick forest while limping toward its cave as pain swept through out it's entire body. Once it was right beside the cave it gave three short barks accompanied by six small wines. the next second multiple almost barely audible barks were heard as four small bodies came flying through the air at full pelt hitting the female wolf and nocking it over. As the wolf looked down its eyes filled with love as it gazed into the eyes of her four pups that she had saved from the vicious fox and knew that all would be well and any danger they may have to face they would face together.
