"Yeah," I nodded, rubbing my chin, "Supposed to be the father, but unfortunately, he's more like a mad scientist, than the father. Which father would be making kids make experiments on them because he wants to find the race of the future?"
"Aurora..." Markus and Rick looked at me simultaneously. I took a sip of coffee, made a bite of sandwich, waited a few seconds, then asked.
"What? Don't they deserve to know the truth? If you think they're too young and won't understand..." I made a pause to cope with the anger, "You're mistaken."
"Go on..." Markus nodded and put his hand on my shoulder, "If the boys want, right?"
"Go on, mommy...!" J and J clapped their hands to cheer me up, "Tell us your story."
I smiled at them, rubbed their hair, and kissed their foreheads.
