"She's just tasting your temper," he shrugged, being as calm and cold as always when the things around don't bother him even for a little. Then, he put his hands in his pockets and looked away to the window, "We're going to be alone today. I wanted you to train without any distractions."
"Hm, okay," I answered then stepped away from him and took a deep breath, "Any tasks?"
"Just share your shield with me," Markus said, still looking at the window on the other side of the training room as if he was able to catch anything going on the outside from such a distance. I nodded in silence, without doubt, he saw it, then closed my eyes and concentrated on my own shield, cowering my body from head to toes. I force it to move from my body to Markus's and this time it took me less time than previously. Then I opened my eyes, seeing how Markus took his hand out of the pocket, then a ball of fire appeared on his palm, and he threw it away. However, the ball reflected as if from something invisible. Markus caught it with his hand and threw it in the opposite direction.
The ball reflected near us from something invisible and Markus caught it, then the fireball disappeared. I looked at Markus being highly amused. He looked at me with an interest.
"Seems your shield isn't only mental, as we thought before. It can restrain my fire from going outside whenever I'm under your shield," he said, then closed his eyes, trying to concentrate on something. I felt a sudden blow and my shield turned to me.
"Damn," I said, and forced it to get back to Markus. He opened his eyes when the shield reached him.
"I feel it…" Suddenly, he took my hand in his, then I saw like a fire started moving from his hand to my hand. In a few seconds, we saw how the fire transferred from me to the shield, making it visible. It was like a dome over us.
"Amazing," I suddenly hugged Markus, and kissed him, licking his lips. The fire over my shield started burning brighter and harder, making me smile and whisper, "Is it always burning so bright and hard whenever I kiss you?"
"You don't even know how hard it burns when I want you," Markus put his hand at my butt, squeezing it, making me bite my lip and lost control over the shield. It turned back to me, making Markus's fire disappear.
"I can only imagine," I kissed his lips once more, then bite them and wrapped his neck with my hands, "I have one question for you…"
"I'm all ears," he put his left hand at my waist, while his right one was still squeezing my butt.
"If I'm not going to get back to the police, I'm going to stay here?" I asked straight, looking deep into his onyx eyes, waiting for any reaction.
"You expected me to throw you out when I'm no longer interested in you? Never," Markus slapped my butt and I screamed.
"Ouch! It hurts…" I pouted my lips, crossing my hands over my chest. Markus smirked and started caressing my butt with both hands, looking deep into my eyes. I wrapped his neck again, enjoying, "No, I haven't expected that, I just needed to be sure. So, I have one more question. I need to tell my householder I'm no longer in need of the apartment and took all my things from there. It will take an hour or two…"
"Ask Rick to go with you," Markus put his hands back on my waist when the door to the training room opened after a short knock, and we both turned our heads to see Raphael standing in the doorway.
"Sorry to interrupt you, but we got the report that Kristof is waiting to get in," he said, looking at his toes. Markus kissed my lips shortly.
"You go and do what you have planned, I'll talk to Kris," he said, then we both went to the corridor.
~Markus~
I looked downstairs, waiting for Kristof to get inside my mansion. He was very punctual, but something distracted him from going inside the house as soon as he arrived. Probably, he met Aurora, but what are they talking about?
"Should I go and check?" asked Raphael when the door opened and Kristof got inside the mansion with his guards. They exchanged looks with my guards and waited downstairs, while Kristof was going up. I looked at Raphael.
"Go and deliver Kristof's baggage to his room, and tell the guards they can rest in the guards' room. Also, ask to deliver some more blood packs and tell the rules of hunting on my territory," I told directly to Raphael, so he went downstairs while I shook Kristof's hand. He put his hand on my shoulder, showing his sharp teeth.
"Greetings, Markus. Long time no see. That incident with your Underboss made you a home sitter," Kristof left his spicy comment, and then smiled, "Easy, easy, I heard what happened with those poor guys."
"They're definitely poor guys after being burned to the ash," I said with my cold voice, then pointed to the elevator, "Let's go upstairs and talk."
"That's a very good idea however I wanted to meet your family first," he grinned, then put his hands in the pockets of his rich black old-looking woolen suit.
"We'll all have dinner later, so there you can meet them. They went on hunting in the forest," I answered, then went to the elevator and pushed a button.
"Just at the same time as I arrived. You have everything planned, Markus. Well, as usual," Kristof went inside the elevator after me. I shrugged.
"They went in the early morning. I haven't forced them."
When we arrived at my private floor, I led Kristof to the darkroom where we would be able to talk peacefully. He sat on a black chair and relaxed. I poured some blood into our glasses and sat on a chair in front of him.
"I saw Aurora driving somewhere with your mind-reader. Seems you sent everyone off the mansion to talk with me…" he said, making a greedy gulp of blood, "That's interesting."
"I haven't sent no one out off the mansion. It was their will, which I used for my own good. I want you to remember, what would be said under those walls, should never leave those walls, or…" I made a sip of blood, looking straight at him. His face was looking even paler than it is under the slight candlelight just over our heads. He put the blood aside and leaned closer to me.
"You know I haven't told any of your secrets yet, don't you?"
"As I told you on that meeting in the nightclub, Aurora was never in the mafia before. She was a police officer undercover till yesterday…" I made a pause, studying his reaction.
"Do you have anything to tell me about that burned police station?" he arched an eyebrow.
"That was the station where Aurora was working. We were there yesterday and her ex-boss said they planned that case with a maniac and twelve victims to kill her because a year ago she heard them making plans about how to get rid of the mafia…"
"Were they a bit creative?" he arched an eyebrow, looking at me. I shrugged.
"Not even for a little. They have rats in our main bloody banks, as we know, and planned to use them to destroy those banks and leave us without the main source of food. They planned to get rid of those rats, so the mafia would fight with each other, thinking someone planned to get all the power…" I relaxed in my chair, studying his reaction. He was calm.
"And she heard that? How couldn't she remember that till now?"
"They kicked the back of her head and used strong hypnosis when she was still weak." I took a sip of blood, squeezing the glass with my cold fingers. "And those three stupid caporegimes thought they can kill her and earn money from the police."
"Poor them," Kristof said with no enthusiasm, then looked back at me from the glass of blood, "What should we do with the police?"
"I planned to get rid of the current head and put my person in his place. He's next in line if something will happen with the current head," I looked at him, waiting for his approval. He grinned as if he was proud of his son surpassing him, so I continued, "He's in the police from the beginning. No one will ever expose him being a mafia's hand…,"
"That's a good point. However, we should prove that police can do nothing to kick us from our places. I talked with other mafia bosses and everyone agreed your guard is one of the best guards, and they should be in all the other bloody banks. All the other mafia bosses decided to buy a few guards of yours as teachers and pay you the money. You'll be famous and rich, Markus."
"I prefer to stay at the place where I'm now, however, I do agree to exchange proficiency. I need a list of how many of my people you need, and where to send them. Also, I'm ready to get some newcomers and teach them here," I took a sip of blood and looked at my watch. A message from Aurora popped up on the screen, so I looked back at Kristof," Let's get back to the first floor. Aurora is almost here."
