Somewhere in the garden of the imperial Palace, the image of three people drinking tea under the shade was seen. It was noticeable that two of them have a sullen look on their faces, one of them in particular— a man with blond hair and blue eyes sigh deeply as if his world was ending.
"I can't find brother anywhere."
It was prince Ragus Kazek, the second Prince of Kazek empire. It has been a week since he has last seen his brother, he just got back from a trip to the Eastern part of the empire when he decided to stop by the Palace of the first prince, only to find out that he was not there.
When he interrogate his aid, all he said was that he was out on a secret investigation and will be back the next day, however a week had past and he was nowhere to be found.
On the other hand, a woman with similar eyes and hair answered him with a similarly gloom look.
"Could it be that he had a lover and was on a secret rendezvous? What if he ran away? It can't be! I refuse to give away my son to some unidentified woman!"
The empress of the empire who, like her son was fond of the first prince seemed to have into a conclusion that Raul had chosen to ran away from home with some woman.
The emperor who sat across the mother and son only smiled and laugh awkwardly. Rather than come into any conclusion or anxiety like the two, he was pretty calm. However, he had already ordered half of the imperial knights under his command to search the whole empire.
He was not particularly worried of his safety, he was confident and trustful of his skills, it's just that it bothers him that his first born had not showed up in their family tea time bonding that happens three times a week.
"That rascal missed the tea time this week."
The three of them sighed in sync as they raise the tea cup and sipped on it.
It was a peaceful family gathering, oblivious to the fact that the nobles and maternal relatives of the two princes was planning on how to cut each other's neck for the sake of the throne.
Meanwhile, in Luxembourg mansion at the tower at the eastern part of the premises lies the subject of worry of the imperial family.
Prince Raul was overlooking the field of wild flowers in front of the tower. It has been a days since he fully recovered but rather than express his gratitude and leave, he found himself hesitating each day. It has become his habit to stare at the field every afternoon anticipating the image of the silver haired beauty that runs around the field without a care in the world.
It was time for Luna to have a walk, she always choose to walk near at the wild flower field whenever she was at the capital mansion, this is because it reminds him of her home town of her first life as Selene where she lived in the outskirts of the city where flowers blooms even on the side of the road.
It was a total coincidence that the tower was built in front of the field, it was totally not her intention to walk in a place where Raj could see her.
'Why does it feel like I'm doing it on purpose?'
She thought, aware of the eyes looking at her from a far. She stops by the tower every other day to bring supplies for Raj who is recuperating secretly. But there was little interaction between the two aside from the usual greetings and small exchange of what he needs and how far he recovered. This is because she find it hard to be alone with a handsome man who is technically a stranger.
'I feel like I might jump at him in any moment'
That was all Luna could think every time she sat face to face with him. It was even more so because he was wearing a thin white shirt that is loose around the neck, it emphasises his collarbone giving off a languid appearance that stirs the heart of any lady— Luna included.
On the other hand, Raj was still watching her intently as if not wanting to miss any moment, he was trying to imprint the appearance of Luna in his mind.
He cannot understand himself, being a Prince of an empire he was exposed to all kinds of people with all kinds of beauty but all he felt towards them was repulsion. His uncle had been trying to set him up with every young ladies from powerful families which he rejected, but when he heard about Luna's possible engagement with him and expressed her disinterest, he was disappointed.
He found himself wanting to spend more time with her and know more about her however, sadly she would always leave immediately after stopping by every other day.
Finally, as if she could no longer bear the piercing gaze he was giving, Luna silently approached near the window and asked.
"Do you want something from me?"
The distance was quite high so she raised her voice a little. It was on the secluded part of the mansion so no one would notice them. Startled, Raj sat by the window and looked down.
His eyes drooped a little, casting a shadow over his face from his eye lashes.
"I'm bored."
He muttered. Luna was perplexed with his answer. Clearly, he was a patient who asked to be treated secretly but he was exposing himself out in the open simply because he's bored?
"Would you like to come down here and take a walk?"
Raj's sunken face lit up. As if he had finally found an opportunity to get close to her, he momentarily forgot that he was supposed to be a patient who is still recovering and jump out of the window.
Luna's eyes widened in surprise.
"What were you thinking?!" she screamed.
But before she knew it, Raj had landed on the ground swiftly as if a feather fell from the sky. He smiled softly and present his arm as if to escorts. Realization came late and it only came back when Luna had her face painted with worry.
"You are injured! That was quite the height what if your wound opened?"
She muttered and put her hands on his stomach as if to check if there was any bleeding but Raj hardened.
She groped him here and there and sighed in relief when she raised his shirt and saw no signs of blood spurting out from an open wound.
"You could have used the door, it's not like it takes long."
"I'm sorry. I was too bored to think of it."
Luna smiled at him and grabbed his hand. She somehow understood his feelings, when she was living as Selene, she was a clutz who often got into an accident, a few broken bones was normal for her. She would always be sent to the hospital because she fell down the stairs and broke her leg, breaking her head open when she hit her head hard on a table while standing up after picking something from the floor and many more minor accidents that gave her injuries. She knew the heart of a patient who was forced to sit still.
"Should I bring a book next time?"
"Will you read it to me?"
Raj carefully asked, his eyes locked on hers, he had an ambiguous smile on his lips that was hard to distinguish whether he was serious or joking.
"Should I?"
However her answer was unexpected but brought light to his heart. A smile broke out of his lips and he looked happy as they walk through the fields, silence ensured but the atmosphere was calm with no hint of awkwardness.
For a while, Luna contemplated on a topic to talk about, her companion was naturally the type of person who rarely opens his mouth and his stares were burdensome.
"Tell me about yourself."
She said, Raj looked at her with wondering eyes, his red orbs twinkled with an unexplainable emotion.
"What do you want to know?"
"What you want to let me know?"
Luna titled her head to the side and shot him am expecting gaze.
"Hmm..."
While contemplating, he walked ahead and sat down on the grass, motioning his hand for her to do the same. Before urging Luna to sit down, he placed a handkerchief beside him.
"I have a stepmother and a younger brother, our family is complicated but we are happy. However people around us won't leave us alone."
"Sound like a novel." She frowned at his words in which he only shrugged his shoulders.
"Would you like something personal? Well, I'm 18 years old. I think my height is around 190 cm, I do swords training—
"Okay, stop." Luna said while laughing, there was nothing funny with what he said but his figure while he spoke were cute as he raised his fingers as if counting every little details that he spit.
Raj smiled and looked at her.
"How about you? What would you let me know?"
When the question was thrown back to her, a hint of unease flashed through her eyes, naturally as a transmigrator, she had a lot of things she doesn't want people to know, things that only she knows and things about herself or rather the original Luna that she was supposed to know but don't. It was such a simple question but Luna was thrown into a pit of difficult emotions.
