"My novel is a historical Fantasy novel named < Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and fire >"
"That is a long but good name. Anyways, here's the contract. Read it first and sign it."
Ash took the contract and started reading it. Ash was surprised by the contract. It was written that all the Copywrite of the book will belong to him and only him. Wipro will Publish at least 500 books and Ash will get $10 per book. After reading the contract Ash understood that this was the best contract a writer could imagine. So he signed the contract.
The next day Alfred took the manuscript provided by Ash to his publication house.
He called one of his editors and told him to review the manuscript and put it on the shelves of bookstores as soon as possible.
The editor took the manuscript from Alfred and started reading it but seeing Alfred's Attitude towards the manuscript he wasn't much optimistic about it.
The editor started reading the manuscript and after a while, he got lost in the continent of Westeros. The novel was so intriguing that he forget about time. That day he didn't talk with any of his colleagues. Neither did he eat food nor did he drink water. It was evening before he realized.
In the evening Alfred was ready to go home. He saw that editor still reading that manuscript. Alfred suddenly remembered that he hadn't given him the report about the manuscript yet so he went to him and called his name two or three times but didn't get any response so shouted his name that is when he got his attention.
"What are you doing? Why didn't you give the report about the novels you were supposed to review"
The editor soon realized that the day was already over and he did not do any work today but just spent his whole day reading the novel.
"Sorry boss but the manuscript you gave me in the morning was so intriguing that before I realized it was already evening."
"You mean the one with the author named Wilson?"
"Yes, boss. Where did you even find such an author? This novel is so amazing and well-written that we can even release it tomorrow. But I think we should do more publicity for it and have a mass release."
That editor had a very long experience in the field of novels, and no simple novel could get such high- praises from him. Alfred hadn't even taken a look at the script before but now he was Curious so he, "Give me that manuscript."
The editor was a little confused about this because he thought that Alfred had already read it but then he thought that Alfred might just want to see something in the manuscript so he reluctantly handed it over but Alfred put it in the bag.
Seeing this the editor asked, "Boss, I haven't finished reading it and I am at a crucial point so
please let me finish it first. Haven't you already read it?"
Hearing that Alfred's face turned red and he got out of there. The editor was dumbfounded by it but he soon realized that Alfred hasn't read it yet either. The editor was so curious about the plot that for a moment he wanted to run after Alfred and grab that book forcefully but soon rationality took over him and decided to wait for a night then losing his job.
When the next day Alfred came to his office he had dark circles under his eyes. He directly went to his office and found that the editor was waiting for him in his office.
The editor greeted him and said, "What took so long, boss? I have been waiting for an hour here. Now, can you let me finish that novel?''
Alfred gave the manuscript to the editor. After the editor left the room. Alfred took out the
contract and studied it. Alfred felt a little remorseful about giving a newbie writer so many benefits but he could still make so much profit from this novel.
After doing his calculations Alfred immediately called a meeting with higher officials. In the meeting Alfred said. "I want all of you to prepare for a mass release of this novel. At first, I wanted to release 500 copies of this novel but after reading it last night now I want to release 100 times the amount."
When the officials heard that they were dumbfounded. Alfred was a money-grabbing kind of boss and he put profits above everything else. But now he was going to release 50,000 copies of a book with a no-name writer. But before they could come back to reality Alfred dropped another bomb.
"And I also want to give a heavy promotion to it so buy the biggest billboard in New York and even put some ads on T.V. I want it to be released before the next week."
