AN: Procrastination has been getting to me, I probably could have gotten this out much earlier had I focused on writing you guys your chapter but I have been doing anything but that... I'll try to be a bit quicker tomorrow.

It was not fine.
God forbid the already miserable cold rain that slowly sucked all the warmth from my body was putting me in a foul mood. But then there was the shitty situation our little group was in once we started our search, that is we realized we were also being searched for.
'What was that Gon learned in the anime? "Hunt while being hunted"... because that is an apt description of our fucked status.' slowly pivoting on one foot as I spun to look around at my surroundings as I tried, and failed, to grasp the situation we were in.
All around me were what appeared to be an infinite plane of repeating buildings and streets that mashed and melded together in a nonsensical manner. Several copies of the same buildings and street signs could be seen from my vantage point on top of a ruined building. And the "further in" I went the more dense and odd the layout of things was.
Initially, it was just a looping area of a few blocks but soon it became a labyrinthian mass of almost copypasted buildings piled on one another that would make the architect of a hive city jealous. And my attempts of moving in one direction in the opposite way I came were fruitless as it seemed the buildings would subtly shift out of sight.
Not to mention using Gyo, I practically went blind from the overstimulation. Different buildings were phasing between physical and illusionary or had various amounts of aura in them. The entirety of the downtown slums had been transformed into a living maze that was designed to disorient whoever was unlucky to get stuck in this place.
I even saw a few residents of the area walking around aimlessly… or even some lying dead in the middle of the street. The Troupe is either laying a trap or hiding their base of operations with no real concern for all the people who lived around here previously.
'I really need to find some sort of way to find the other two and get out of here asap…' Attempting to deduce anything once again I infused my eyes with aura as I used Gyo as I stared at the shifting specter that was once the slums of the city.

' true prophecy… so this is what they were so concerned about, and to think it was a natural Nen ability of some spoiled little girl.' folding up the piece of paper into a square I tucked in away inside my inner pocket as a slight frown crept up on my face.
I didn't particularly like the whole idea of fate or predestination, it went against everything I stood for, what the Troupe stood for. In Meteor city we were supposedly destined to die before we could reach adulthood, yet here we are, powerful enough to decide how we live and die.
The very idea that we should bunker down and be overly cautious wasn't exactly something to be enthusiastic about either, and Hsioka's possibly mutinous actions have made the temporary base rather stuffy in some regards.
"So? What did yours say on it, even though I am the user part of the condition it would seem is that I am unaware of what I wrote down." catching her attention was Chrollo, who was staring at her with no small amount of interest, like a kid who got a new toy he wanted nothing more than to use incessantly it seemed.
"Nothing particularly different from everyone else's from what I can tell, mad ramblings regarding imminent death or something I should be afraid of. Though there was a line that was somewhat odd… 'regardless should you scorn your fate, search for the blank thread of fate and weave your own future.' whatever that means." Seeing as he was too focused on the new information I took the opportunity to sort out my stuff, moving over to the small crook in the piles of rubble I situated myself for the past week. Taking my small sack I pulled out the numerous stacks of bills and placed them alongside the various picks I got from the pool of goods we stole from the auction.
'I still don't get why that bastard was so uptight on refusing me the briefcase to carry the money in and taking it with himself, I should have cut him to bits! Though it was a referral through Hisoka and he paid…' shaking my head and pushing down my intrusive thoughts I finished organizing everything how I liked it for the time being.
"So Boss, from what I can tell you are going to have us stay here…" deciding to push the issue one last time I voiced my thoughts, not that I was against staying here exactly, I enjoyed the city it was a nice experience. At least nicer than our last venture… The massacre and subsequent selling of the Kurta eyes wasn't exactly a great time, and apparently, it was coming back to haunt us somehow.
"Are you perhaps skeptical of the veracity of this ability of mine? I admit I was too, but I have experienced it first hand, and from what I can tell it is certainly the real deal…"
A reassurance I wasn't happy to hear or really put much faith in, but it wasn't like I had anything better to do while we stay here. It WAS nice to be back together in one place again.
"Alright, then what are we going to do? Should we leave this place we apparently die, or five at least? And of those five are Uvogin and Nobunaga included?"
"Hmm… from what I have understood, our… recently passed comrades are included in the toll. And I would not have any of you die if possible, especially when easily avoided. For now, I sent a party to locate and hunt down the purchaser of the Kurta eyes copy and see if they have any connection to the chain user who I suspect to be the one these fortunes speak of. In addition, I will have Kortopi obfuscate our location and we will instead lie in wait rather than leave."
