We've been traveling for a day and a half now
The carriage would normally take 5 days and a half for us to arrive at the Land of Lynine
but because I now have an aura, we didn't need to take a break every single night to rest and would now take only 3 days to arrive.
I've been aura meditating to pass the time and managed to fix 4 flaws in my aura, I was a little bit happy but I know that this is lacking on comparison to the aura of the knights that were escorting me.
I then rest my head to take a small break from aura meditating, I reach for my backpack beside me to take a look at one of the pouches of gold inside it.
Each pouch had 100 gold coins inside them, in this world, they are using copper, bronze, tin, silver, platinum, and lastly gold coins as currency.
Copper is the least expensive while gold is the most.
100 copper is equivalent to 1 bronze and 100 bronze is equivalent to 1 tin and so on and so forth.
I then feel the carriage abruptly stop.
I put the gold pouch inside my backpack and peek through the curtains of the window inside the carriage to see what was happening.
"What's the commotion?" I ask the knight through the window.
"Young Master, there is a carriage up ahead that appears to have broken down"
I open the carriage door slightly just enough to let my head poke out.
Not so far away from our carriage was another carriage that was lying on the side of the road.
"There does not appear to have any mana or aura traces in the area, so it is highly unlikely that it was attacked," The knight said to me while his gaze is focused on the carriage that was broken down.
I nod and ordered them to keep moving.
"He was able to inspect the carriage from quite a distance, the knights of Lynine are really formidable," I thought to myself as I close the door.
After a minute or so we arrive at the broken-down carriage.
Our carriage stops once again but this time slowly and gently.
I hear a voice from outside the carriage not belonging to any of the escort knights.
"May I ask for your assistance, Sir Knight? The wheel of my carriage suddenly broke apart and I am miles away from any nearby town."
"As much as I want to help you, sir?"
"Ah, It's Sir Gerald"
"Sir Gerald, as much I want to help you It is quite discourteous for a commoner to ride with a noble"
"Oh, well then, sorry for wasting your time, Sir Knight" The man was clearly disappointed.
The Knight that was in front of the carriage was about to signal the horses of our carriage to keep moving but then.
"Stop the carriage" I order to the knights as I step out of the carriage.
I see a man who was in his mid-thirties, he wore a brown coat that was made with fox fur and would end above his knees, a tunic was seen inside his coat and he wore a chaperon on his head, his appearance is clearly of that a traveling merchant.
He then bows to me.
"Please forgive me, Sir Noble, for a lowly merchant like me made your carriage stop"
"Raise your head, and tell me where were you planning to go?"
"I was destined for the Town of Dryrid, Sir Noble"
"Dryrid may not be far from the Land of Lynine but we still need to make a detour to get there and would add another day to our journey, Sir Kayn, and what would your father say to you when he learns you let a commoner inside one of his carriages?" One of the knights said to me.
"You may have forgotten Sir Knight but I am currently not a noble right now, right? then it is completely fine." I reply to the Knight.
"But!"
"No buts, Sir Gerald get your things, we will gladly help you get to your destination"
The face of the man lights up.
"Th-thank you!" He said to me while he ran towards his carriage to get his things inside.
"Hey, help him get his things" I order to the knights.
The knights then nod at me.
I then enter the carriage.
As I sat down on one of the seats, I was feeling a bit uncomfortable.
"Man, ordering strong people is weird," I thought to myself
Having lived as an agent in my past life the only people I was able to command and instruct were people weaker than me and I was only teaching them and guiding them, I was always the one used to getting told to do this and that, but now I am the one ordering people around and it is safe to say that this would get some time getting used to.
The door of the carriage then opened and It was one of the knights holding a moderately sized box in his hands, he put the box on the seat parallel to me, and after a while, there were now 4 boxes on the other seat.
The other seat was now cramped with boxes only leaving a little bit of space to barely sit on.
Then Sir Gerald finally entered the carriage.
I nod at him and he nods back at me.
He then sits on the other seat in front of me.
"Th-thank you again for your hospitality," he said to me while his voice was shaking slightly.
"Don't mention it" I say to him.
The carriage then starts to move again.
