Mabel immediately felt lightheaded and weaker than before. She was already weak and sad but Georgia's sudden departure was like a thunderbolt pounding her heart mercilessly and it made her shiver.
She fell backward as she felt her leg giving in and her head blank. "What's happening to me?" She wondered.
"Am I going to faint now?" She wondered again but then she heard her name being called.
"Mabel! Mabel!!" Christabel screamed and rushed to her side.
"Please, Mabel! Please!!!" She was crying hard. She was scared and frightened!.
Mabel opened her eyes slowly and looked at her friend who was crying miserably beside her and smiled reassuringly at her.
"I'm fine... I just felt a little weak," she said and stood up. It was difficult to stand up but she had to put on a brave face for the sake of her friend.
