Rose watched as tears gushed from Aunt Emily's face as she lay on the bed weary and weak. She coughed again but she never removed her hands from Rose's hands. She only tightened her grip on her.
Rose was terrified and wanted to remove her hands so she could help her.
"Let me get you a glass of water," she said as she attempted to remove her hands from her. But Aunt Emily's frail hands were so strong and she wondered where she got the energy from her frail body.
Aunt Emily coughed again and Rose had to forcefully remove her hands. But immediately her hands were removed. Aunt Emily coughed and left her. She was about to amble to the door when the voice of Aunt Rose halted her.
"Rose! Daughter! Nothing to worry about, take a seat," she said and Rose was shocked. She sluggishly sat down beside her.
