Chereads / The CEO Contract Love / Chapter 4 - Four

Chapter 4 - Four

Rose awoke with a slight feeling of heaviness in her stomach. It feels so different, and it sends a warm feeling through her body, which she adores. Her eyes were still closed, so she couldn't see what the heavy thing in her body was.

When she finally got to open her eyes, she saw the weather was favorable. The birds were chirping beautifully, and there was a slight breeze and a beam of light piercing through the glass window, whirling around the room, giving off warmth and comfort where the curtain was left untouched and close.

"Awwwwww," she says as she yawns and stretches her arms with her eyes closed. Feeling the brisk breeze of the wind.

She sighed deeply and was about to get out of bed when she felt the heavy thing in her tummy move.

Feeling tired from what had happened the night before, she stretched out her hand to grope her cellphone from her bag, which was beside her, not realizing that she had someone she shared the bed with under the soft ivory vellux blanket. But, as she reached for her cellphone, she unintentionally held something hard and long.

She opened her eyes and slowly swung it beside her, sensing that something was wrong, but to her surprise, she discovered that someone was lying in the bed, sleeping softly like a child.

Rose tried to recall yesterday's incident, but as soon as she did, she snapped back to reality and screamed at the top of her lungs, her eyes widened and her face twisted.

She screamed and screamed until the man next to her awoke. He stood up from the bed, his face irritated, and then opened his eyes to look at her angrily.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, Love? Can't you see I'm sleeping?" he said irritably as he messed his hair and returned to his bed to sleep.

Rose was taken aback by the man's reaction.

"Love? Who is love? Why the hell is he calling me that?" Rose pondered.

She slapped the man with the pillow next to her. To the man's surprise, he was thrown back on the bed and abruptly stood on it as his eyes widened and he gazed at her.

"What the hell are you? And what are you doing here in my room?" The yelled in rage and shock, trying to figure out who the woman he was with was.

He tried to recall what had happened the day before, but his head ached.

"Ahh shit! Hangover hits like hell," he murmured under his breath, then touched his head as if it were about to explode.

"Excuse me, Mister. Instead of accusing me of entering your room, you might want to think about thanking me first because I assisted you in being dead yesterday, and for your information, this is not your freaking home," Rose said as she stood up from the bed, both hands on her waist.

"What the fuck do you mean?" he asked unknowingly again. "Wait, did something happen between us last night?" he asked, looking under his blanket to see if he was still dressed.

Rose eyes widened as she heard the man's question. "Excuse me. I am not the woman you think I am. For your information, for the second time, you should be thankful first that I helped you. If it hadn't been for me, you would be sleeping right now on a cold cell behind the prison. How dare you accuse me." Rose said, trying not to yell at the man in front of her.

She's enraged because of the way the man accused her. He may not have said the words that he truly meant, but she could tell by the way he said them.

"Huh?" The man asks, oblivious to what is going on. He simply does not understand anything at the moment. It appears that his mind was blank and hazy.

He wants to remember what happened the day before, but he can't because his hangover is interfering with his ability to do so.

He touched his head and lightly caressed it, and then a memory flashed through his mind.

*"Let's call it quits. I don't love you anymore. I already love someone else, and he loves me more than you do. Don't call or text me again. Let's call it quits. Goodbye."*

When he regained his memory, his eyes widened in shock and he stood up from his bed.

The man's reaction perplexed Rose. He reasoned that he was losing his mind when he suddenly stood up on the bed and his eyes widened.

"Shit! This can't be happening. I need to leave now," he said as he hurriedly walked down to the bed and was about to walk towards the door when Rose abruptly stopped him.

"Hey, Mister? Where do you think you're going right now?" she asked, attempting to stop him.

"Don't you see what I'm doing? I'm leaving okay? Are you blind or just plain stupid?" He bluntly asked.

Rose is staring at him with astonishment. Is this what she gets for assisting him the night before? Insult? She can't believe the man's behavior. She had never been insulted in her entire life. She had never been called stupid in her entire life. On what basis did he label her as stupid?

"Don't call me stupid, you poor stupid man," she screamed.

"What did you call me?" The man inquired, perplexed by what he had heard.

"Well, are you deaf? I said you poor stupid man. Hmm, but now I guess you are more stupid more than I think," she said, looking down and up at the man.

When the man heard what Rose said, he laughed mockingly. Him? Poor?

"Do you think I'm poor?" he inquired, his brow furrowed.

"Yes," she stated emphatically. She is aware that he is impoverished. She went through his wallet last night and found nothing, not even an identification card.

"How come you said that?" he inquired once more.

"It's because I saw that you don't have any money, not even any identification card?"

"You've gone through my wallet?" he exclaimed incredulously.

Rose gulped as she noticed the man's voice had become deep. She shifted her focus away from the man.

"It's b-because I j-just wanted to see where you live," she stammered.

The man burst out laughing. "Look, woman, I'm not poor; I just don't bring any money or identification with me. I'm rich. So damn rich. I am more than what you think I am."

Rose brow furrowed. "Well, if you're that wealthy, perhaps you should pay the money I paid for you to stay in this motel last night."

"What's the point?"

"Look, mister, the money I paid for this room is for my brother," Rose couldn't believe the man.

"I did not ask you to assist me," he replied again, which infuriated Rose.

"Aren't you supposed to feel thankful to me and then just pay me so that I can leave?" She asked. She's getting really mad already but she's trying to stop herself to not shout at the man.

But the man just look at her as his brows arch. "Not gonna pay. I did not tell you to help me."

"You embacile, I hope you rot in hell forever," Rose said as she stormed out of the room, clutching her phone.

She stormed out of the room, slamming the door and stomping her feet on the ground.

"That man has no conscience; I hope he gets hit by a car," Rose muttered under her breath.

"Argggh!! The nerve of that guy! No manners!"
