Chapter 326 - The tale with no end

In the cosy lilac sewing room with the calming scent of lavender, Sienna was embroidering for a while. Her thoughts were merging into a scary story of Tyrell paying for her disrespect to the merciless Crystal Emperor taking over Sarcos's body.

"You have such a talent. I'm so glad to have you as my daughter-in-law..."Ellaine peeked behind her shoulder to check out the young Queen's work in progress.

"Thank you."Sienna smiled sweetly at Tyrell's mother who just sat to embroider opposite to her when an idea struck her!

"Ellaine, please tell me about how Crystal Emperor's story ended. I like to think about something else for a moment."Sienna asked pleadingly.

"As you wish...but it is a very cruel story..."Ellaine sighed.

"Well, I did read the book, but it finished as the Emperor went to fight the undead army and the Princess was stuck in her cage. I was wondering if you know the end of it?"Sienna asked curiously.

"This story has no end yet," Ellaine noted thinking.

"Awww, "Sienna sighed.

"Do not be disappointed, I meant that this story continues. I can see that you are very curious about it. Is it because your Sarcos became Crystal Scorpion?" she asked quietly.

"Yes, please help me..."Sienna whispered.

"Sure, I will tell you everything I know. "Ellaine said quietly."So after the Crystal Emperor left the Butterfly Princess locked in his crystal cage, he went to face the army of undead bravely. In his pride, he underestimated his opponent as he merely knew who he was standing against.

The mysterious immortal, with the power to awaken the dead, was gathering all the soulless bodies the emperor's army killed and granted them the right to everlasting revenge.

He had a secret scroll granted to him by his most powerful father which enabled him to control all of the undead merely with his thought as one mass of savage beasts."

"Wow, how is this even possible? Who was that man?"Sienna asked curiously."If I find out who it is, I can search for him and ask for help. If he was immortal he must surely live somewhere."Her mind raced.

"Unfortunately, I do not know. Only those whom he allowed to come to him could see him, be it people or the beasts. "Ellaine smiled secretively.

"So what he did do then?"Sienna asked curiously.

"The army of undead started killing Emperor's man savagely, they were indestructible. And because the Crystal Emperor could not offer the Crystal Protection to his armies, because they all feared him deep within their hearts, his armies were depleting quickly. His dead soldiers were awoken by the powerful immortal and fought against their previous master as part of the undead army immediately after their last breath passed their lips.

The Emperor saw his army was not to last so he retreated to the castle sworn to protect his only love with all his magic. His army was gone but the undead could not hurt him. But then the walls of the tower the Emperor was waiting inside crumbled to dust and the powerful immortal stretched his golden wings and flew into the air to face the Emperor in his last stance. He looked like a golden warrior in armour so shiny it was blinding his enemies.

The Butterfly Princess locked in the crystal cage watched as the new master of the world glanced at her.

" For this, you were destroying the world? This is what you were killing the females for?" the immortal scoffed at the Butterfly Princess.

"She is the epitome of beauty, you savage, the most precious being in this world. She is to be mine forever."The Crystal Emperor hissed, shielding the cage with his body and the magic blue icy shield.

"I'm not savage. But my undead army is. It grew a lot thanks to your madness." the immortal grinned.

"What is your fight with me anyway, if you are not after my Princess, hm?" the Crystal Emperor asked the immortal a little confused.

"You were disturbing my peace, my lovely peace, snatching my females away to sacrifice them to your trollip...How would I kill you for this?" the immortal looked at him firmly. His face was hidden behind the golden helmet only his dark piercing eyes were visible.

"Well, revive them if you are so able."Crystal Emperor chuckled coldly.

"I'm not into dead concubines like you."The immortal grinned.

"I love only one, one star and she still lives! I will make her immortal as I kill your soul."The Crystal Emperor gathered his strongest magic force within himself. He was talking to the immortal only because he needed to buy his time to do his spell.

"Bla, bla, bla, look behind you. You are freezing your repulsive darling with your protective shield scaredy-cat. She is almost dead already you fool." the immortal chuckled wickedly.

The Crystal Emperor turned in horror just to see as the Butterfly Princess closed her eyes. Her face was covered with diamond-like icy crystals.

"No! "The Crystal Emperor screamed and pushed all his life force to revive the Butterfly Princess's body.

"You are too late. We are even now."The immortal chuckled."I will show you how my enemies die..."He snapped his fingers and the golden fire eloped the ruined tower...

"No, my beloved, the Crystal Emperor shrieked and instead of protecting himself he made the crystal cage grow around the Butterfly Princess encasing her body."I will never stop loving you..." he called as his body burned under the golden fire...

"Wow! He surely deserved that."Sienna bit her lips as the flash of a burning spider entered her mind.

"I also think he did."Ellaine nodded."When the golden fire subdued only a cold blue crystal was left of him. The crystal was indeed dangerous because it preserved some of Crystal Emperor's soul, so the immortal encased it into a black cursed rock and had it thrown into the deepest trench in the sea." Ellaine noted.

"I think I saw that crystal."Sienna bit her lips worriedly."But what happened to the princess?"She asked curiously.

"The immortal left her where she was. He ordered the rocks to build icy mountains and that became her secret tomb. It is under the Northern peaks, of the Frozen Lands."

"You mean it is somewhere up North?"Sienna asked curiously.

"Yes, but on Chimera's side of the world, so no one ever returned from there. It is good as lost."Ellaine smiled with relief.

"Yes, that is good."Sienna smiled." But Sarcos can surely go there and back!" she whispered worriedly.

"Well, if Crystal Emperor is somehow in your mate's body he can help him to search for his Princess and free her."Ellaine noted."It is kind of romantic, isn't it? To love her this much."

"Well, he did protect her with everything he had."Sienna nodded, "But he was a cruel monster. if someone can feel love, he will not destroy others needlessly. I think he was simply obsessed with her."She sighed."What happened to that immortal?"Sienna asked.

"No one knows. He came and gone."Ellaine sighed.

"Did not he have any decoration on his golden armour?"Sienna asked curiously.

"No, it was plain gold and blinding. If he had any symbols on it I'm sure they would be mentioned. But his wings were from metal, it was not a beast's wing."Ellaine added.

"Ahmm.Ok, and do you know where now the undead army is?"Sienna asked.

"They are sealed somewhere at the borders with Chimera Land too, in case we need the ancient warriors to protect the land again," Ellaine noted.

"That sounds so scary!"Sienna shivered."I would not like to see the undead army at all."

"Silly it was long, long ago, ago, centuries."Ellaine smiled.

"But how is it possible I could not find a book with this legend whole?"Sienna asked.

"Because only my ancestors believed in it. Remember that armour dress?"Ellain asked cheekily.

"Yes, "Sienna nodded curiously.

"It belonged to Leira, my great ancestor. She survived the fight for a Tiger King mate just narrowly. The King did not mind her being killed by her opponent, but the huge wild eagle took pity on her and protected her. He came from the highest tree and scratched the face of the warrior who wanted to kill her. The Tiger King had to mate a scarred Queen. She was angry but could not retaliate, so sent my ancestor away from Nothern Tiger Lands. She came here and joined in the tribe."Ellaine smiled.

"Wow, that sounds so unreal." Sienna looked at Ellaine."What a story."Why do you think the eagle did that, was he kinder than the King?"Sienna asked in awe.

"Sometimes animals are kinder than men."Tyrell's mother noted. My great-ancestors learned to talk to birds, and that eagle became her friend. He was the one who led her here. He took care of her while she was injured and told her story from ancient times to keep her entertained. But as you could not tell a man that a female could understand the birds, it stayed between the women of my family for generations. I was trying to tell the story to Tyrell as the times changed now, but he was not interested. I thought he would be the end of our lineage. But now, I have you, and you can tell it to your child or future daughter-in-law one day..."

"Sure."Sienna nodded."And I hope I will have a good ending." she bit her lips.

"I wish you all the luck for it."Ellaine looked at her worriedly.

"Thank you for the story Ellaine. You helped me a lot. Please, let it stay only between us."Sienna said seriously.

"Sure, you see, you are also trying to help us."Ellaine nodded."I'm so happy to have you in my family."She held her around her shoulders gently."You do not have it easy. Feel free to come embroider with me any time if you will need a little break."She smiled.

"Sure, you are so nice. I like you too."Sienna smiled. She looked at her embroidered picture but the white tiger seemed dark somehow.

"What?"Sienna furrowed her brows and looked at the window.

"Dusk is here!"Ellaine sighed.
