It was past 8pm when Jacob left the restaurant he'd stopped by for dinner. Instead of taking his normal route home, he wandered back to his office through the thick of the night.
"Sir", another scientist saluted him.
"Ahh Davis". He smiled at his assistant who seemed to already be waiting for him. After pulling out a key from his pocket, he unlocked the stone-covered passage under his table.
A vile aura of death seemed to escape it once he flung the trapdoor open.
"What was that?", Jacob twisted his neck to look around.
"What?".
His eyes narrowed after remembering he locked the door. "Nothing, just a shadow".
After those words, both men went down the passage before shutting it above them.
